Sarku Japan at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody has easily become one of my go-to spots whenever I’m in the area. Every single time I stop by, they deliver the same consistent quality, flavor, and service that keeps me coming back. The line can look long during peak hours, but it always moves fast because the team back there works like a machine — organized, quick, and professional. You can tell they know what they’re doing.
The food is always hot, fresh, and cooked right in front of you, which I love. Their chicken teriyaki is honestly unmatched — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and never dry. The way they grill it and glaze it right at the end makes it taste way better than any other mall spot doing hibachi-style meals. The veggies always have the right crunch, the fried rice is flavorful without being greasy, and the portions are HUGE. You really get your money’s worth every time.
Another thing I respect about this location is the customer service. The workers always keep the area clean, they move with speed, and they don’t act annoyed when you ask for anything extra. They stay friendly even when the food court is packed. You can tell they take pride in their spot.

Food is always good. It’s the potion size for my review. If I pay for double chicken and they give me the same amount as a regular order I would think that is a problem. I waited for 10 minutes for the chicken to be done grilling too so it’s not like they only had that one scoop left. Price goes up but the food quantity always goes down it seems.

I wanted to give 5 ⭐️ cause food is good but I had to give 2 because I watched the girl whose giving the free samples in front of the store, she was wearing gloves, and did all these: used her phone, placed her phone on her pocket, cleaned the counter, threw away the paper towel in the trash can that she used to clean, touched the counter while waiting for the cook to refill the sample plate, got the sample plate. She did not changed her gloves at all, I guess she was protecting her hands from getting dirty not the food. Really disappointing, hope management does something about this.

The amount of food you get depends on how much they feel like cooking. A double meat order at the end of the day is equivalent to a regular order any other time. You pay extra, get get the same.
i got the shrimp tempura and added cream cheese to it. the first time the cream cheese was missing but they gladly replaced it with no issues. it was very delicious and tasted of quality. i also got the dumplings, which were cooked well. you also get a fair price on both items. i would definitely eat here again

This is simply the best mall Japanese I have ever eaten. It has been consistently good over the years and I was pleasantly surprised today given how sad the mall has gotten overall.
Yes, the prices have consistently increased over the years but that is everywhere. I feel like the amount of food I got has been consistent over the years as well.
The chicken is freshly cooked, the vegetables aren’t overcooked and the rice is well prepared. What more can you ask for? Even the sweet tea was good.
The food court area was worn and dirty but that’s not Sarku’s fault. I walked up, ordered and got my fresh food in under 5 minutes.

My chicken was undercooked. I got all 3 meats. Omg. I’m so glad I noticed or I would’ve got food poisoning. The line was really long and I’m sure others got chicken that was undercooked with mine. Another thing..there’s no seasoning on this stuff. Literally just the sauce they give. & they charge you for yum yum. The veggies & shrimp are barely steamed or cooked.
