My family and I visited for a late lunch today and had a wonderful experience. This was my first visit, though my husband had dined here before and spoke highly of it and I can see why. The restaurant is beautifully maintained, and the restroom was exceptionally clean.
Our server provided us with outstanding service, it was both professional and genuinely welcoming. The food was delicious, and even my daughter, who is typically a selective eater, enjoyed the meal. We ordered the Meat Lover Combo, and the cappuccino was excellent as well.
I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again soon.

Shoa Restaurant (Bethelhem Market) is the best Ethiopian restaurant in the Atlanta area. From the very authentic Ethiopian cuisine to the excellent service, everything is par high standard. I always feel like I am eating a well cooked, home made Ethiopian food when I dine at Shoa restaurant. Kudos to the owner, Ato Aklilu, and all the staff!!

I recently visited Shoa Ethiopian Restaurant and had the chance to enjoy their Kurt (raw beef dish). The presentation was authentic and inviting, and the quality was immediately clear. The beef was fresh, tender, and prepared with care, offering that delicate balance of richness and subtle spice that makes Kurt such a unique dish. The taste was superb—clean, flavorful, and true to Ethiopian tradition.
A big part of that quality comes from Ato Aklilu, who clearly knows the right type of beef for Kurt and ensures it is always of the highest standard. His expertise and commitment to consistency make every bite exceptional, and it shows in the reputation Shoa has earned for serving some of the best Kurt around.
What truly set the experience apart, though, was the exceptional customer service. Helina and Yobi went above and beyond to make the visit memorable. Both were genuinely friendly, attentive, and detail-oriented, making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Their professionalism and warmth created a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel not just like a customer, but a valued guest.
Overall, Shoa combines authentic cuisine, top-quality ingredients, and world-class service. Ato Aklilu, Helen, and Yobi all deserve special recognition for making the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a true taste of Ethiopia paired with hospitality that shines..

It’s hard to find food late Sunday evenings in most places, but we got lucky and discovered Shoa. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and well-lit, and was easy to park. Our server was friendly and took care to ask about our food placement since we ordered veg and non-vegetarian dishes. We’ll definitely be back.
