This place is legit on Funk Fridays. Loved the outdoor seating area and the staff was super informative and friendly. The grazing board was delicious and unique in the arrangement of cheeses and meats. Great ambiance. The flies got a little crazy gathering around your food and drink if you sit outside. So be sure to get a table fan to keep them away if you sit outside, as that was helpful for us! We loved the funky wine flights and the great selection of wine! The side saddle burgers were juicy and delicious as well. Unfortunately the chicken wings left a lot to be desired in terms of texture and flavor. The green chimichuri sauce they top the wings with was too oily and it just seeped into and overpowered the wings.

Food was alright, service was absolutely splendid. You can tell these folks take pride in their work but it doesn’t seem like management has a clue what’s going on. I overheard some of the staff talking about not having been paid for weeks which is super fishy. I’m not sure what they’ve got going on but it didn’t sound too good. They’ve got a great staff and they should be paying them for their labor. Wish the team well and hope they can find better places to work where they’ll be valued. Don’t think I’ll be spending money at this place again.

Honestly, it was a great concept and cute space, but was incredibly poorly executed. It was clear the service staff cared and wanted to do a great job, but they can’t be led by the blind- obviously management/ownership had no idea what they were doing. It felt like the rules were being made up as they went along and therefore the staff were yanked around and mistreated. Literally the first night the cops were called cause the owner didn’t get their liquor license- for a WINE BAR. Embarrassing. Service staff missed out on hundreds of dollars in tips and were basically working for free. I’m sure this example of gross negligence wasn’t the only time.

If you were to change things the attitude towards employees trying to bring a light to your shop and care in their work is priority. Talking down to so many employees like they are children when some of them been in this industry for over a decade, lack of communication and multiple pay grievances is something you will regret in the long run. You are not prioritizing staff that would actually make a difference in your establishment. You are looking for yes man and not people that would challenge you to make your business better.
