Sidebar was amazing simply because of the service! Aaliyah is probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had from the recommendations to how she handles the rush.Definitely nice to stop at for food drinks and hookah

Went here to get a beer after work. Beer was warm when served to me and they didn’t have any other beers on tap. I also had to get felt down by a security guard at the entrance and they were very intrusive. Literally felt down my whole body including parts I didn’t necessarily want touched. Bartender was very nice and accommodating, despite the circumstances.

Went Last Night For My Bestfriend Birthday And We Had Fuunnnnn This Places is Pure Vibes , I Love How It Has Two levels to It , The Staff Are Like Super Nice And Friendly Nobody Has Bad Attitudes Everybody Energy Is Awesome , Food Was A1 Drinks Was Bomb !!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND (The Woo) Cause Babeee Its Gone Definitely Sneak Up On !!! THIS is My New Favorite Spot WHOEVER RUNS/ OWNS THIS PLACE Hats Off To You !!!! BRAVOOO !!!!

I’m pretty sure I got alcohol poisoning from this place. The bartenders claim to know how to make certain speciality drinks but don’t. Don’t go to the bar by yourself as a woman.

My party and I (4 people) started the evening off with a bang. The vibe was great! As we were entering the establishment, we were greeted by security and a gentleman with thick locks. He, guy with thick locs) asked if we were going to the table or bar. We mentioned the bar. He then suggested a table on the second floor because that’s where the DJ was. We agreed and thought it would be great for us. So there we are, at the table having a great time until things got out of control.
Our waitress, dark skin young lady with red hair, wasn’t pleasant from the jump and after about an hour She was clearly ready for us to go. We were only there for one hour and a half and during that time, we were still buying drinks and food. She then came over and said we had to leave because those tables are for 1 hour only. I respectfully said “we been buying drinks and food the entire time why do we have to leave?” She stormed off and told another young lady. That young lady, who had been drinking alcohol on the clock, in celebration of her birthday, walked over and slammed a “reserved” tag on our table. So I gave it back to her! Needless to say, security came over and said that there was a reservation for this table and literally “put us out”. I was in the middle of a cocktail and still had 7 wings left out of my 10 piece. We were put out in the middle of our meal. Our tab was over $200 for that short period of time. How much do we have to pay to receive at least average treatment? I mean, our surrounding patrons were at their tables longer than we were… We were there to celebrate the release of a family member. He served 18 hard years and all we wanted to do was vibe and have a great time! If there was in fact a reservation for that table, she could have said that from the jump and not put us through that, at last minute with no notice ahead of time…. The person that originally told us about the table should have known and not placed us there. Needless to say, for half the sidebar’s experience, we paid full price for our meals and drinks and wasn’t able to complete it all. It’s clearly no voice for the patrons, those waitresses get to say and do anything and by the time security come, it’s too late. Btw, we asked for a manager but instead of management, we got security that came over pushing and shoving. I’m highly disappointed at the way we were handled. We came to spend money and have a great time. We weren’t there to just take up space and not pay.
After things got hectic one of the security personnel said, he could’ve placed us downstairs. Why wasn’t that offered by your waitress, why did she have to single us out, why didn’t she go get a manager like we requested, why did security have to come over aggressive like we were going to disrupt your business. We were calm until the commotion happen. It’s pathetic that we were treated like this on what was not a busy night for sidebar.
I’ve searched this website up and down after this event unfolded and I see nothing about 1 hour seating… not one thing! Why why why were we treated so horribly? I’m devastated and embarrassed

Coolest bar in the town! Perfect place for football Sundays with their happy hour prices! Make sure to ask for Kamber, she’s an amazing bartender and always treats you like a king/queen. Food is good, you have to try the meatballs!!

Sidebar was a short walk from the hotel. Amazing vibe, very welcoming staff! They were having an amazing Lucky #7 special. We got the spinach dip and crab claws, and both were fire!! Also had $7 shots and ended the night with the Alfredo pasta, which was magnifique!! Check out their underground bar too with a dj and a totally cool vibe!!!

This was my 1st visit. It was a mommy daughter moment. And when I tell you the VIBE was nothing but the truth!! Aaliyah did her thang!! I have NEVER been to a top notch black owened restaurant and be treated with such priority with no attitude or disrespect. She had so many tables and was bartending! She continued to check on and made our night sooo special. The food was amazing! I got the shrimp tempura and shrimp quesadilla! My daughter had the chicken tacos! We also got the chips and queso and baby.. on point! The drinks during happy hour were strong and on point. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK! This is a vibe fr fr and ask for Aaliyah! She will be sure you have a GREAT time! Ty ❤️
