I'm sorry to say that my experience was not up to standards. My fries were cold and soggy which was a real bummer. It's my fault that I ordered a drink I didn't care for (absinthe) so I can't fault that. A friend got nachos and they came out cold with hard dried cheese. We waited a long time for food despite the dining area being relatively empty. This time it just didn't hit the right note for me. Cold Beer had amazing food but was too expensive for BeltLine casual and this went too far in the other direction. Better off at Ladybird.

Flavor is good but prices are obviously trying to recoup covid losses. Outrageous price to portion ratio. Service is super slow. They seem both overworked and not set up for success -- trying to split the tab felt like we were in 2000. There was a manager or bartender standing around while our table waited again and again for service, only getting it when we flagged our waitress down. Wouldn't recommend, won't return.

The food itself was good - as was the server - but my goodness it was slowwww. We were at dinner from 6:30 - 9. For the cost, it wasn’t totally worth it.

The vibe and atmosphere is definitely there and the location is great as well the food was on point but didn’t care for the drinks. The service was exceptional. They have an AC problem maybe because of the high ceilings. So it was hot inside the restaurant. I’m sure they will get that resolved. And the music was great!

Slqbtown has a good selection of beers and mixed drinks. We enjoy the chicken tenders. They come with 3 different tasty dipping sauces. The great fries are seasoned and have parmesan cheese on top.

Was excited to check out this new Kevin Gillespie spot. Awesome location right in the beltline and a cool building with a patio.Started with cocktails which were awesome! The avocado margarita was amazing. The food was pretty good but a very very disappointing value in my opinion.Got a chicken sandwich and the “famous” nachos. Sandwich was delicious but came with a pre-packaged bag of potato chips and was almost 20 bucks. Woof. Nachos were a huge portion (and could easily feed two) but weren’t anything special to me and were quite pricey. The toppings were bbq and a bunch of tomatoes. I feel like this could be so much better.Granted, we went when the restaurant had just opened so I’m hoping this is just growing pains. But for the amount of money we paid, I think there are much better options in the area.

Big KG fan. Gunshow is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. This place is just not it. There is no organization or operational fluency. We arrived today at 1:40 and we’re told we had to order quickly because the kitchen was closing. What? That’s not advertised anywhere. You are on the beltline. We sat outside and without exaggeration there were 6 parties that came up after 2 and left because the kitchen was closed.I don’t want to see a response from the restaurant saying “we have to reset the kitchen”. There are plenty of places on the beltline that serve continuous food (more complicated than a bag of chips) so I’m not interested in a pity party. In addition, someone I was with wanted no mayo on the chicken sandwich to which we were told “there is a contractual issue we cannot serve the sandwich in any other way”. Then just call it a chicken sandwich so you don’t get into a copyright infringement issue with Chick-fil-A.It’s not that anyone was rude (they weren’t). It’s not that the food was bad (it wasn’t). It’s that we became so frustrated before we even ordered because of the seemingly 20 caveats to how and when we could order that leads me to this review. This place will have the same fate as Cold Beer.

Fantastic cocktails and even better food. Kevin basically took nachos, burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, etc and said “how can we make these classic items taste better than any you’ve had before?” and succeeded. Pictured below are the best nachos I’ve ever had in Atlanta. Don’t sleep on the avocado margarita either.

The avocado margarita is a must! Lots of other unique cocktail options too. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich. The food, vibes, and people were all great. I’ll be back for sure.

When I heard that Cold Beer was essentially getting a makeover; less expensive food and drinks and a more "accessible" menu (though the menu, itself, didn't bother me), I was excited to check it out as it is the closest restaurant/bar to my place. However, everything is still quite pricey and there are a few issues that I'm not so much into. First, the burger is a whopping $20 (Cold Beer's was LESS expensive) and doesn't even come with fries! No, you get a choice of a bag of kettle chips or a sizeable mixed greens salad. If you want fries, you have to pay for an $8 portion on top of that. The salad was very tasty with a mustardy citrus dressing, though. My $16 chicken sandwich was delicious and my husband's Cuban sandwich was pretty darn good, but I feel like everything is still fancier than promised. ALL of the wine is $12/glass and nothing looked particularly interesting. Nice beer list and you're able to get a $3 half beer glass, $6 for regular sized or $12 for essentially two beers. That's nice because I can get two different beers for the size of one for only $6. But I can't afford to pay $60 for dinner and a drink for two regularly. Some of the cocktails were priced ok, but most were too expensive. I don't feel like they've changed much or learned much from Cold Beer's failure; also the roof is still not open. If the price point was a few dollars less, I would be happy and probably come here a lot more often. Albeit, everything was pretty tasty (except my husband thought the mustard in his sandwich was too sweet), but we don't have the budget to return very often. Maybe there will be some changes as time progresses. Also, why is there no website or menus posted anywhere? That would definitely help.

Congratulations to Kevin, Valerie and his team on producing another standout restaurant. We were there on Friday, still some kinks but minor but what you experienced is the commitment Kevin puts into his restaurants. The food was great, nacho’s to die for, Sunday chicken sandwich boom, and you can’t find a better banana pudding anywhere…top that with a fun, exciting drink menu, great location and yes a winner. Congratulations….job well done!
