Slim & Husky's Pizza (Adair Park)

We got delivery - pizza was tasty. Only issue was that the pizza wasn't cut all the way through and it was hard to pull apart.

So when this place first opened, it was great. The food was GOOD. We haven't been in a while and my husband really wanted some. The wing were great. This time the pizza was dry and flavorless. They also left off the salad with our order. Since it was a to go order, we tried calling. None of the numbers listed, even on their own Website, did not work. That really makes no sense. Anyway, I think we will give them some time to get it together before we try it again.

$10 Tuesdays are the best deal around! The pizzas are packed with flavor and they’ve got some really cool topping combos you don’t see everywhere. The staff is quick and keeps things moving, which I appreciate. Only thing missing is a full bar, but overall Slim & Husky’s is a go-to spot!

Now that I got my refund from my credit card company, I can finally confirm that Slim and Huskies is ran by a bunch of scammers. I tried to order from them about 2 months ago, end of July, and when I went to pick my order up, they told me the power had gone out and they weren't fulfilling any more orders. Alright, that's cool, but how about my refund? $20 is $20.

They told me reach out to a GM named Amanda Walton- crickets. Never heard a word from her to this day, despite multiple emails. I called the store- I could hear noise in the background and Google said it was store hours, but the moment I pressed asking about my refund, the person on the phone started acting like the store wasn't open. Which admittedly was kind of funny, but come on. Over my $20 we're faking like the store is closed?

The food is fine. I'm Muslim and the time before they tried to scam me, I ordered the Nashville chicken and they messed my order up and gave me some pork heavy nonsense. That should have been my first warning, but I had decided to give them another chance since I was living in the area at the time. But the way they refused to give me my refund, I feel like everyone needs to know what kind of operation they're running here. Specifically, DO NOT ORDER THROUGH TOAST ON THE WEBSITE- that's what they used as an excuse to not pay me my refund out at the store. Which confused me, because why utilize an order service on your website if you can't refund it?

All in all, really disappointing, really sketchy spot. Hit the YourPie on Memorial if you want some pizza.

I've been riding past Slim & Husky for a while. Finally stepped inside to try the food. Think flat bread pizza with two size options. Decided that it just didn't make any sense to buy a small 10 oz pizza for $14+ so I ordered the large size.

On the menu they say that 4 people (I think 🤔) can share the pizza....even the large size is not big enough to share.

If you are looking for NYC pizza understand that this is not it. Ordered the cream..... ingredients for were fresh and tasty but I think that my favorite thing is the mural inside the restaurant.

Would I return to this restaurant again to try something else on the menu? Yes. But unfortunately parking is a problem because the parking lot is very small.

This was a remarkable experience not only is the pizza good but the service was phenomenal my server was Regina she has the best customer service you ever want to experience they get a thumbs up from my family

I used to be a regular at S&H especially when they first opened. I’m not sure if they are under new management or what, but my most recent experience wasn’t the best. I ordered from the Metropolitan location and the wait was extremely long and the quality of the pizza isn’t what it used to be. The dough/crust didn’t taste fresh and was hard and chewy rather than crisp. The wings also weren’t as good as I remember (haven’t been in over 6 months). My family feels the same and feel the food isn’t as good as it used to be. Hoping this is just a one off experience and maybe the main cook was out because I would love for any black owned restaurant to thrive and be successful.

The pizza and wings were great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy behind the building too. I love the vibe.
