I placed an order online Sunday because it was advised that an order can not be called in but they were open. I ordered through there Direct Order platform and was told my order would be ready in less than 10 mins. I went to pick up my order and the restaurant was closed. The gentleman next door advised that they would not be opened until the next day. I was frustrated because it should have said closed online instead of taking my money. This was my first experience with this restaurant. I called in today to advise them of my transaction to see if they would issue me a refund or just make my order. The gentleman advised no order was received. I told him I took a screenshot of the order and the funds were taken out of my account. I even told him what I ordered. (Turkey Wings with coconut rice & peas, baked macaroni, with sweet yams) He advised maybe I placed it at their other location as they don’t have turkey wings. I confirmed the address with him and he still stated no order was received. Which leads me to believe this business is EXTREMELY unprofessional and GHETTO! They really robbed me but as I told him I will take it up with my bank… and go a step further being a content creator and post a video on my socials. Black owned doesn’t mean professional. Smh

If I could give you zero stars I would!! Their delivery service is so outrageous they lied about having multiple locations. They had multiple dashers waiting for over 30mins to say “it’s at another location” they won’t answer DoorDash support calls but answered mine and he was rude.

The quality isn't worth the price. Customer service isn't worth the price. We got Oxtails $29, mac&cheese, cornbread, yellow rice, mashed potatoes, collard greens, banana pudding are extra. We spent over $56. Not worth it.

My visit to Smashing Eats went well. The strawberry heat wings were “different”, sweet, and tasty- I think I’ll try lemon pepper next time (as long as they aren’t sweet). The fries were good and seasoned well. I also tried the sweet onion turkey wing with macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, and greens. The sides were sizable portions. Everything was good (except the greens tasted like they were canned). Loved the sweet potatoes especially…The mini cornbread muffins were delicious, but a few got soggy with pot liquor (juice from greens) because they were placed on top of the greens and not wrapped separately. The others were stuck to the mac n’ cheese. I would separate them with a sheet of wax on paper or by wrapping them in foil. Last, I tried the shrimp and three cheese grits. There were six medium sized shrimp on top of a sea of grits and the parsley for garnish and flavor made the dish a tad awkward tasting. The nice portion of grits was in stark contrast to that particular number of shrimp- just seems like something is missing. It was really cheesy- they don’t list what the three cheeses are. I wouldn’t order that particular dish again. It needs to be revamped..- the recipe.Meanwhile, the manager, Portia, was attentive and warm as she related to customers. She holds her kitchen staff to a high degree and she checks for presentation of food before it gets to the customer, and that’s great. The atmosphere was super clean and pleasing to the eye with its epoxy floors, table decor, led lights, large screen tv, menu screens, and silk flower wall art… and Jackson Pollack styled paint splash feature wall was also evident. All in all, I’d patronize this place again. And the desserts looked sooooo good, I heard people sometimes come in just to get those huge cups of refrigerated sweets. They’re big enough to share. I saw a chocolate and ? dessert, banana pudding, and strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry shortcake, I heard about, but didn’t see, reportedly always sells out first every time. I’m not big on sweets, but I might try one… That’s all (this review is long enough)…

The environment was clean though.I had the turkey wings, rice, and green.Lets start off with the greens cause I love greens..Straight out a can and they taste like sugar was on them very sweet.The turkey wings was fair not seasoned well but I assume that's why you had all that gravy on them.Which was not well seasoned either.The rice was mushy.This was my first time trying this restaurant not sure if I would go back.

I ordered the Rasta pasta. I think there were about 5 pieces of pasta in this puddle of just sauce. You can’t even see the salmon. I have never seen food presentation so bad. My appetite was gone and threw away the entire order. What a waste of money!!

Food was excellent well seasoned and delicious the presentation was great and the amount of food for the price is good too I can def eat off a plate at least twice. I went to the Delowe location and they have a seating area so we dined in . Service was good and they have a real chilled atmosphere. The menu has so many different options so it caters to an array of people we ordered 4 different plates and no one was disappointed everything was good and I will definitely be back to try all the other options on the menuVegetarian options: They have a veggie plate you can order and plenty of side dishesParking: In a plaza so plenty of parking
