It's been a minute since I've been here but I was extremely impressed w/ what I had. This is a great joint to stop at before a game. I got the pulled chicken sandwich w/ fried okra on the side and my wife got the stallion burger. Both of us got, I believe, a specialty peach tea spiked drink.

Everything was fantastic. Food, atmosphere, service were all top-notch. If I ever get back down to Atlanta this is easily a spot I'd want to go back to.

This is Absolutely the worst ribs I have ever purchased. Visiting from out-of-state, wanted to patronize black establishment's. Had a wonderful time at Cam Newton's restaurant called Fellaship. Had a beautiful time and Sundays brunch was good. Stayed there for hour's watching college football. Had previously read that Cam Newton had another restaurant right around the corner, a BBQ place. So I went there to get a slab of ribs to take home. They were terrible, hard and old. They ought to be ashamed of themselves serving hard, old dried out ribs, that I paid $29. This place should be shut down! I'm going to report them to the health department because the ribs were as dark as the bottom of my shoe. Do not patronize this place. Shameful!

If you’re looking for a great spot near Mercedes Benz Stadium to eat and drink before a sporting event, this is it. It’s in a fantastic location relative to the stadium, and both the food and beers are great. The brisket sandwich was super. They also have many big TVs.

We had a large group and Nick (manager) and Vince (bartender and server) took great care of us! They made sure that our every need was taken care of. Thanks so much for making our outing so fantastic!

$25 for a flavorless brisket slider, a few bites of mac n cheese, and a can of Diet Coke. Oh and incredibly slow service, yikes.

Fresh made pork rinds that are really good. High prices, sort of small portions. Good food. Probably a good place to get a drink at their bar. We walked here during the daytime from the Reverb hotel. Not sure I'd walk it at night though. A taxi would likely be priceless in terms of safety at night. I think there's parking across the street though. Friendly staff and a nice vibe inside that is warm and welcoming.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for the longest. Finally went & the service was horrible. As soon as we walked in, the look on the older woman’s face (at least early 40’s), showed she didn’t want to be there. We sat down, it took at least 10 mins for her to bring us the menu QR code. She brings it, doesn’t say hello, then asks us, “do y’all know what you want?” We told her to give us a few minutes. A few minutes turned into 15 & I walked over to where she was sitting at the bar in a conversation with I assume another worker, & told her we were ready. After I sat back down, she proceeded to continue her conversation until she was good and ready to stop talking. Another 5-10 mins after, we decide to leave. As soon as we started getting our things to leave…SURPRISE, she finally gets through talking and asks us, “why are we leaving?” You ma’am. You’re the problem. Guys, we were the only guest in the place! Literally, a total of 5 adults & 3 kids. Not once did she ask us for drink orders.

For me BBQ isn’t just food, it’s also a culture — and it’s a culture of blue collar and agricultural workers, often Black. It is history as well as food. If you want your BBQ in that sort of atmosphere, go to Daddy D’z. If you want your BBQ in an anodyne, middle class, whitey-safe environment, go to Smokey Stallion. Hey, there’s a time and place for everything. If your Trump-voting Cracker relatives from Arkansas are in town for a visit, and you want them to have some good BBQ, then you are probably safe taking them to Smokey Stallion, although the Castlebury neighbourhood may scare them a little. It isn’t Buckhead. On the food, I was recommended by a local to have the brisket sandwich. I did. It was good, but the brisket was a little dry. The service, by a friendly woman with a happy, round, high-cheekboned face (suggesting Yoruba roots) was great. The fries were outstanding— I very nearly ordered more even though I had finished my meal. One curiosity: SS does not serve coffee, so if you want coffee all you have to do is walk around the corner to Brooklyn Tea, which despite the name serves good coffee. Good Vibe, too. I will write a review of Brooklyn Tea there.

Vegetarian options: Anyone who goes to a BBQ restaurant for the vegetarian options should find a good psychiatrist.

I’m here for lunch and we are the only table seated. It took well over 10 mins to be acknowledged by our waitress and get drinks. I ordered chicken tenders, potato salad and fried okra. The okra was the best thing on the plate. The potato salad was wet and had meat in it. Maybe bacon but we were not made aware of that. The chicken tenders were probably frozen Tyson chicken tenders that were hard as a brick. We’re not checked on at all during service until it was time to pay.

The food was lukewarm and not good at all. I ordered ribs, Mac and cheese and baked beans. The only thing that was barbecue about the ribs was the sauce. The macaroni was dry and hard with shredded cheese sprinkled on top- disgusting! I should have known not to eat here because the only “smoke” at this establishment was cigarette smoke. Absolutely no barbecue aroma at all. What a waste of brick and mortar!
