I've been going to soul vegetarian for several years now. I love the food but the recent price changes are ridiculous. Meals that use to be $14 for plate are now $33 a plate.
Yes inflation can be part of the issue but it looks like they are just price gouging at this point. Shame on them

*LASANGA CHALLENGE* this spot and the place exactly across the street both have plant based lasanga same size, similar price so of course the Angel had to try it. This place came in second place šŸ™ˆ. Lasagna 8.9/ 10 has more of a creamy texture to it with the vegan ā€œcottage cheeseā€and crispy top layer. Hot but not as flavorful as I’d like . reheat value is 6.5/10. Vibes inside was chill and spacious. My friend said this place was his winner and a 9.9 so take it for what it’s worth and try both! Blessings

The food is affordable. The Lemon meringue Pie is the best I have ever had vegan or otherwise. Textue was on point. The meringue was high and and have the perfect bite, which is very hard to accomplish without eggs. And the lemon custard taste like fresh, delicious lemons with the perfect amount of sugar. If you can't make it there for any other reason, get there for that pie.

Food is always amazing, haven't been there in a while, and the service is okay but would be great if they had a microphone to repeat back orders.Because the music is way too loud and I didn't understand what was being said.

Food is so good. It's not processed and taste so seasoned. Not salty, but flavorful. Excellent service. Very friendly.

The young lady at counter was very nice. Online list lots of food options...at the West End location. It was limited amount of option-. Online list prices. However, the food is price per pounds. So I end up spending 20 to $30 dollars for one plate. Too much for a vegetable plate..

This restaurant has been popular for hearty, plant-based meals. They've recently undergone renovations and menu adjustments. My last visit was during Sunday brunch. I looked forward to their tofu scramble and biscuits. They are usually a brunch option. This time, the tofu scramble was a bit salty. The biscuit was kind of hard, and the broccoli was overcooked and too mushy for my preference. I must say I feel their food is slightly overpriced for what you get. I ordered a serving of Tofu scramble, broccoli, and a biscuit. My tab was $18. Additionally, they have a dessert case and free water dispenser in the dining area. The atmosphere it clean, with an old-fashioned esthetic. It's certainly a positive, family-friendly environment. It's located across the street from Wadada Healthy Market & Juice Bar.

My first visit was May 23, 2025 a Friday evening, 21min prior to closing. Upon entry at 7:38pm, I saw 4-5men sitting at 3 different tables & a lady at the register with her head down, on what I presumed to be her phone. I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged until 7:43pm & it was by a woman who came walking from the back to speak to the lady at the register….I finally served with a smile at 7:45 & walked out with my food at 7:46. I was checking the time because I had a bus to catch. The food was SO good that I’ll eventually be back but the initial service I received, & lack thereof, was noticeable & quite off putting. Regardless of how close you are to closing, how young I look (I’m 30), etc why wouldn’t you acknowledge a potential paying customer?? & don’t say you didn’t see me walk in, this beautiful establishment is smack dab in the middle of the hood. You see/saw me & anyone who walks in love. You should greet them All.

The mac and cheese was off the hook! Food was good but little cold, dry looking like it has been sitting there, didn’t look appealing but the food itself was good. Service was also nice.
