The manager tried to bring my date the same plate multiple times after her asking for a new plate. The first time it came out in less than 3 minutes of her ordering when struck us as strange. She asked for a new one because the food wasn't hot at all. The waitress and the manger had conflicting stories as to what happend. Then when she brought the second plate out there was a long strand of hair in the chicken so we had to have that one sent back as well. Then on the third time it's almost as if they literally took the plate to the back pulled the hair out, stuck it in the microwave and brought the same plate back. At hat point we just got the check to leave and I told the manager that I would be leaving a review and she made a very smart remark about how she didn't care what I did under her breath thinking I didn't hear it.
For years South City Kitchen has been a favorite on my list. I've enjoyed freshly made dishes from all the locations around the city. Recently their menu has changed and unfortunately the food just isn't good anymore. Our server was outstanding and welcoming but the food just wasn't good.
I was impressed by the menu,.. the staff friendly food was great... this was my first time at the Buckhead location I like the valet as soon as you pull up $2
We celebrated a birthday at South City Kitchen Buckhead and had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion. The staff were pleasant, courteous, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious, and everything came out perfectly timed. Overall, it was a fantastic evening — we'll definitely be back!
I love eating here. The service is outstanding, and the food is excellent, and everything is so consistent.
We celebrated a birthday and they catered to us with a Menu saying Happy Birthday and also had a card for my wife saying the same and everyone on staff signed! It felt very warm and welcoming and our experience was a 10/10.
The food was too salty, at least to me it was. Cornbread rolls were great. Their selection of light lager beers is very limited. As for people, there was a black Woman who came by to see how I was doing, name started with an N, not sure how to spell it. She was awesome, great personality, pretty and very engaging. Jennifer, my waitress, was very good too, very knowledgeable of the menu etc. If the food weren't so salty I'd give it five stars.
This is a fantastic restaurant! Our server was amazing very attentive, etc. prices are fair for what you're getting. The food is usually very very very good. We did have a SUPER long wait for our food and my group was basically the two of us in our 50s and four 80 year-olds and it took over an hour to get our food and they were very antsy towards the end. It was a long wait even for us and we're used to it. And then we did have one little screw up on our order. I was supposed to get grilled chicken on my salad and they sent me fried chicken which of course the fried chicken is amazing, but I didn't want that so I didn't get my piece of grilled chicken till everybody was basically finished and then when I did get it, It was so salty I couldn't eat it. Everybody else loved their food. However, I'm leaving this feedback only as constructive criticism. This restaurant is amazing and you should absolutely go despite the little challenges we had !!!
very slow. we understand staffing shortages but 20 minutes for a coke and coffee is not acceptable during brunch hour. we also did not receive food until an hour and 10 minutes into our reservation
We made reservations for Sunday Brunch and everything about our dining experience was wonderful. Our waiter was attentive, the food was delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Not enough choices on the menu. We got sat at a high top table in between 2 parties and were basically on top of them while there were plenty of other open tables. Food runners kept bringing out food to wrong tables all night, 5+ times.
Our server was London and he was great. Attentive w/o being bothersome and friendly. The manager was pleasant as well.
London was our server and he did an amazing job. He was always there when we needed him and was very professional. The chef on duty even came out to our table.
Traveling alone. Was interested in the menu and something different. This was it! The service was fantastic. I let them know I was ok since I was a single to sit at the bar, but they offered me a four top - and it was not a slow night, although I was early. I question caesar salads - sometimes they just taste like wet lettuce. This had full on garlic and anchovy taste with the addition of fried okra and grits croutons. Very well done. I followed this with the Carolina trout. The trout was perfectly done. It was on a bed of turnips done three ways - braised greens in garlic and other seasonings, oven roasted cubes, and pureed. My server Riley was great. I'd come back again. This hit every note.
Fried Tomatoes, She Crab soup, Salad, and Fried Chicken were delicious. Corn Bread and Biscuits were the best. Kevin was an excellent server.
