Thank you so much to Kevin and management for making our party of 10 proposal dinner INCREDIBLE. My fiancée and I have been going to South City for years to enjoy the atmosphere, drinks, service, and that infamous fried chicken. I knew that when planning the surprise dinner after the big moment, it had to be here. Kevin and crew orchestrated all the courses of the meal with the perfect timing and attention to detail. As always, the drinks were flavorful, the fried chicken crisp, and the chocolate cake the perfect balance of sweet to rich. We will continue to recommend SCK to all of our friends & family, and will return for years to come.Dietary restrictions: Lots of pork-free and non alcohol optionsParking: Do the Valet - it's $2 (tip those guys on top, they rock!) vs $20 for self parking

We went on Easter they had an over priced brunch menu that only had an appetizer and entree available. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting or them. Restaurant was empty. Guessing the stream lined menu was to help with crowd which they didnt have. She-crab had some filler in it and green stuff on top that took away from it. Food was incorrect had to be sent back for them to re-make. Go figure.

OMG this place was so good ! We went for brunch though I ordered their Caesar salad and she crab soup. Both were the best I’ve had in a while ! The croutons in the salad were actually fried grits which was a delicious twist lol. 10/10 would recommend!

Service could have been better but our server had 4 tables and only really paid attention to 1. Food not bad but sons lamb pasta that was under cooked. Trout and fried chicken were good. Got no refills on drinks. Not good for the price and atmosphere.

Jennifer was our server during a short business dinner! From appetizers, to the entree and desserts - they hit every taste buds! The white wine selection is not huge but had a great glass, recommended by the manager! You do have to get the fried chicken entree - its spices and batter is wonderful!Take their advice and order the banana pudding and chocolate cake! Yep!

I have been to south city before at a different location but this one just couldn’t get it right. We were sat at a table that was squeezed in upstairs, put against a window inches from another table and it was under an ice cold ceiling air vent. We asked it to be turned down or off and it was never addressed. The first drink ordered didn’t come out until the appetizer came which took 20 min and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I ordered an appetizer as a meal and ordered a side of fried okra as well. The okra never came and when we asked, he assured us it was never on the bill (he didn’t put it in). I had the mussels and asked for an extra side of bread which also never came out. We worked our way through dinner and dessert was offered. He brought out a sorbet that we hadn’t ordered and when we stated we hadn’t ordered that, we jokingly said it would be a good treat for them and without a blink, he took it back for he and a coworker to enjoy. There were so many missed opportunities and forgotten things, this experience was just very poor. The food was good but the service just entirely missed the mark.Parking: We thought valet would be expensive so we self parked in the garage. Over an hour is $14 and we only later found out valet is subsidized when validated and would have costed us $2. That’s an annoying lack of information.
