One of the best meals I've ever had. If I had to put it simply, it's simple ingredients / meals prepared to a whole 'nother level. Highly recommend sitting at the bar so you can engage with the incredibly friendly bartenders.

Really, really good. My group tried quite a few things and everything was good - no complaints about the food or service. We started with the mussels and the fried oysters. The mussels themselves were fairly standard, but the star was the broth the mussels were in with collard greens and mushrooms. I could have eaten that with bread all night an been super happy. The fried oysters were good, nothing spectacular, but solid. The bread service looks great as well so we tried it. The Johnny cake was superb while the biscuits were fine - perhaps a smidge dry. For entrees I had the NY Strip which was overdone from the medium rare I ordered. Solid piece of meat but not too flavorful. Again fairly standard. My wife had the Bok Choy and loved it. I tasted it and agreed it was good if a little plain for the description. Others at our table also had the seafood sausage, which they raved about, and the red fish which was also highly thought of. We finished with the peanut butter panacotta which was a nice treat at the end of the meal. Overall I loved the meal/experience. The vibe was cool, and the place was about half full so there was atmosphere without being too much or too loud. Take heed of the parking - the lot is not good and our companions car window was broken.

I have mixed feelings but I'd give this a 3.8. All the food we has was really good. Not great for the price point though. At these prices I expect excellent. But it was a good meal I'd be happy to eat again. Vibe is great. But we had to wait just over 30 mins for apps and then another 40 mins for food and it wasnt even very busy. The cocktail was not good. It seemed like it was missing an ingredient and had a strange texture. New restaurant so maybe theyre still figuring things out.

My husband took me to Southern National for Valentine's dinner. I loved everything about this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was superb. Our waiter, Jacob, recommended the perfect dishes for me as I am vegan. The food was so delish that I even had dessert which I don't normally order. I would rate it 10 stars if I could!Dietary restrictions: I follow a vegan diet. I had the baba ganoush salad and vegetable plate. This was not your ordinary salad or vegetable plate. It was very fancy and filling. I can't wait to have it again.

Excited about this newish restaurant in this growing Atlanta neighborhood. On Friday night, despite being in a "fancy" space and busy, the atmosphere was relaxed. Spencer, our server, was friendly, knowledgable, and spent just the right amount of time at our table. The dirty martinis were on point, and unlike many busy spots, they arrived quickly, and not before appetizers. Food was creative but grounded, the fried oysters are highly recommended, as is the lamb pasta dish. When we didn't order dessert, Spencer gave a coy smile and said "heading to big softie, huh?"

My husband and I spent our Valentine's Day dinner here, and it did not disappoint! My husband had the bok choy while I had the fried chicken. The chicken itself was pretty good, though missing a bit of the crisp I love in fried chicken. The stellar part of the dish for me was the corn!! Really delicious. They really know how to do vegetables here. In general, the flavors and spices were really unique. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake. It was good, but not particularly inspired. My husband had the strawberry cheesecake flan - that was quite lovely. We totally enjoyed our night and would definitely come again.

We walked in without a reservation at 5:30 seeking a spot at the bar for some drinks and light food. The hostess was so kind and walked us to our bar seats with menus. Bartenders were both very friendly and helpful, answering a few questions before taking our order. We both drank the Cabernet which was absolutely delicious. We also ordered carrots, salad and seafood sausage. The seafood sausage was definitely the standout. With three kinds of fish, you really could taste each flavor while enjoying the harmony of the blend in one bite. Really special. I was also impressed by the large carrots which were perfectly cooked. You can tell there’s talent in the kitchen when a big carrot is perfectly cooked and tender throughout and not mushy. The flavors of that dish were also wonderful. Very well seasoned. We were impressed! I can’t wait to come back with both a reservation and my husband :)Parking: Parking behind, in the street across the main road, and a huge lot on the next block.

Everything was great from the moment I stepped through the doors. The service I received immediately from the hosts and wait staff, the drinks and service from the bartenders, to the meal prepared to spec by the chefs made my experience there extremely enjoyable and memorable.I would highly recommend this place to anyone whether you’re just in the neighborhood and spotted it, or have been eyeing it to get away from the norms of fast food and quick eat spots. If this place isn’t on your list, then I STRONGLY urge giving it a try at least once. I’m certain it won’t be your last!
