Went over the holidays for their pop-up Christmas theme. It was ok. Drinks were good and the bartenders were very good. Ordered the “loaded”nachos with brisket. It was about 6 chips with a little shredded beef. Nice place to stop by for a drink, but not sure if it’s worth the cost.

Had a very fun holiday bar experience here!
The food menu is limited but the bar experience is unmatched. The bartenders are wonderful- Eric really knows his cocktails He’s even featured in the book “Atlanta cocktails : An elegant collection of over 100 recipes inspired by georgia's capital”

tl;dr extreme service issues marred otherwise decent experience

Cute space. I sat at the bar and was ignored by the bartenders for a while and it took a while to be acknowledged (and I do think they skipped me a few times to take people that walked up), but it was a very busy night and once I was acknowledged the bartenders were all very friendly. It was busy so there was a lot of confusion with orders. They accidentally gave out the same table number to two tables so our food went to a different table and we didn’t know it. The other table sent the food back and we never received it. Even after the mistake was discovered it was over 45 minutes until we got our food. The other table 13 also got their food a good 20-30 minutes before us. We waited an hour an a half for tacos and fries. They have a very pared down menu so it shouldn’t be that hard to quickly make a few items but apparently only one person was working food? Which is odd considering they had an event planned. Fish tacos were very tasty. Drinks were very good. Fries nothing special. Very little Parmesan or truffle. Chicken taco stunningly flavorless. Brisket taco not very good either. Even after all that wait only ate half of the chicken and brisket because they didn’t taste good. Tacos are all well filled but hard to eat with the way the toppings are piled. Do not order if on a date lol. Should probably come with utensils.

Normally you’d expect something to be comped or even for them to bring out something easy and complementary like chips and salsa while we waited but nothing. 2 hours for overpriced bar food and zero attempt to make things right. Especially if you’re charging 20% autograt in order to “save customers time” (I’m fine with that as I always tip 20% anyway, it’s just ironic that that was the explanation given for the gratuity) you should probably attempt basic customer service. Like I said, they were slammed. It’s probably a fine enough experience when it’s not busy. If there weren’t the service issues I probably would’ve given 4 stars. But basic customer service says to apologize for mistakes and comp something as a show of good faith.

✨ St. Julep Rooftop Review – Atlanta Elegance with Room to Improve ✨

When I checked into the hotel, I was excited to discover that St. Julep had a rooftop. My first impression was pure elegance—the kind of modern Atlanta rooftop that makes you want to linger. Stepping off the elevator, I noticed a quaint bar area that felt a bit confusing in its orientation, but as I walked outside, the depth of the space revealed itself. Plenty of seating, a buzzing rooftop vibe, and even a Bacardi party with intriguing cocktails set the stage.

Here’s the truth: Cody was the highlight of the entire experience. His personality, professionalism, and ability to connect communities truly elevated the night. Every great rooftop needs someone like him.

Unfortunately, the food was standard bar fare—surprising for a space that promised a more elevated dining experience. The service fell flat. Bartenders skipped over me in line multiple times, and since rooftop tables aren’t serviced directly, I had to repeatedly walk back just to order. That lack of attentiveness made it hard to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, especially when spending at this level.

The atmosphere itself is beautiful and modern, but the hospitality has to rise to match the setting. With more intentional service, diverse food options, and attention to customer experience, St. Julep could easily become one of Atlanta’s best rooftop bars.

📍 Perfect for a rooftop photo op, cocktails, and city views—but not yet for those seeking full-service excellence.

We were staying at the Thompson hotel across the street. We were told this is the best rooftop in Buckhead! Service, drinks and views were good! $14 margaritas on mondays! Usually have Djs on weekend from what social media states!

I walked in expecting a polished cocktail bar and instead found a neighborhood hangout with a stellar view. The martinis were solid but priced for a true cocktail lounge and the tequila selection was impressive. The shrimp ceviche, however, was closer to whole shrimp in vinaigrette with chunky tomatoes; more puzzling than appealing. Overall it felt like the warmest service and attention were saved for the regulars. Go for the view.

Hands down one of the best rooftop bars we’ve ever been to!

We came here to celebrate a friend’s 40th birthday, and everything from the view to the vibe was absolutely perfect. But what truly made the night unforgettable was Eric, our bartender.

Eric went above and beyond — not just slinging great drinks (which were next level, by the way), but making everyone feel welcome and taken care of. He remembered names, crafted custom cocktails on the fly, and somehow kept the energy fun while staying cool under pressure. The guy is a total pro and a big part of why the night was so special.

If you’re looking for a spot to celebrate something big — or just want an awesome night out — this rooftop bar is it. And if you’re lucky enough to have Eric behind the bar, you’re in for a fantastic time. Cheers to an epic night!
