So I have been coming into the Acworth, Ga Steak 'n Shake on Cobb pkwy for almost 15 years. For the last 2 years I have occasionally had an e gift card that is tied to the cell phone. Ever since the stores have upgraded to kiosks for the customer to place the order. Using the e gift card has been a nightmare to say the least. For a time there were staff that understood that the kiosk pos (point of sale) system is not programmed to take the e gift card and must be rung up by an employee. I am on my 4th e gift card and today I go into the steak and shake on Cobb pkwy in Acworth, ga and I got one of the young gals attention and asked her if she could ring up my order with my e gift card. She said she would and I met her up front. She got the attention of the manager to ask her to help her with the badge to unlock the pos so she could ring up my order. That is where everything went sideways. The manager then steps in and tells me to just go to the kiosk. I'm thinking oh boy here we go again. Another person who just does not realize that the kiosks are not programmed for some reason to take e gift cards. I said ma'am the kiosk doesn't take e gift cards it needs to be rung up here at this pos like I have done countless amounts of other times. She said the kiosk does work and I said ma'am it doesn't or I would have done it already. Well it does she says again. I said ok fine please show me. She said she did not like my tone I could leave. I said ma'am I don't have a tone I'm just trying to get my order. I did say you do not know what you are talking about I have used an e gift card multiple times at this location and they always ring me up right here up front at this pos. She then said there is no way that has ever happened I am the one who set this place up. On a side note I had never seen this woman before so that comment really surprised me. At that point the situation got heated between us mostly because I was in shock that this person would be so obtuse. She asked me to leave. I said I haven't done anything wrong except wanting to use my e gift card to place my order and she couldn't/wouldn't accommodate me and out of embarrassment of not knowing what to do resorted to making me the customer the bad person here. It was disgusting and I am livid as to how I was treated at this location by her simple ignorance. She is supposed to be a manager. What has become of managers now a days. They used to be looked up to as people that new their job took care of the customer and certainly looked to diffuse situations rather than escalate them. Also, what is sad about Steak 'n Shake is if you would like to report an incident with the company you need to fill out a form and maybe someone will get back to you. However, do not count on it. Why do I say that, because over a year ago I called the home office when there was a phone number to call that is and reported that the kiosks would not take an e gift card hoping that the report would get to the top and they would update the system to ad that capability to the kiosks so that this would not continue to be an issue. Sadly, I knew something like this was going to happen. Unfortunately, since the police were called and I tried to explain my side it doesn't matter. The person hurt by this is me the customer who now has a $50.00 e gift card still with around $44.00 left over but can't go to the closest location to purchase food. Oh by the way I drove to the next closest Steak 'n Shake to use my e gift card. I explained to the manager what I went through and they easily took my order agreed that it didn't work on the kiosks and was sorry that I had that kind of experience due to willful ignorance from one of their team members. I asked them for the supervisor's number and they reiterated that the customer service number is no longer any good. Service drive thru , after 8pm, longline wait time which was and will be norm rest year. They do offer pickup online orders cut the waiting time in half. The burgers good well done, and the shakes almost melting 3/4 full still good. Will Try again this place in early mid -day when your orders not missing an item.

Super Spoon

Menu is kinda small. There's seating available but it's not as varied as it was pre-pandemic. Drinks don't have lids for some reason. Closed Thursdays and Fridays

The workers were incredibly kind and got our food out to us pretty fast, considering how busy they were! However, the food is nothing special. There weren't a lot of options to choose from either.
