Been a patron of this restaurant for some time. The staff is always kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend trying everything on the menu at least once. They do an omelette of the day (or something like that) which is fun. Keep this spot open. Not many staples left in Atlanta.
Food has consistently been delicious and tasted freshly made. We sat inside. Service was prompt and friendly.
Food was alright. Biscuits and gravy was solid.
NOTE: A 20% gratuity is added on the bill!
This is my favorite brunch spot in Kirkwood. The menu is diverse. The staff is so on top of it and kind. And best of all the food is VERY fresh and plated beautifully.
Such a cute place in Kirkwood. My mom and I came for lunch on a weekday. We sat outside on the covered patio. It’s right by the Marta and railroad tracks so it’s kind of fun to hear those go by. If that would bother you, then you should sit inside. All of the staff were very friendly. We shared the PBLT with hashed potatoes and the Croque Monsieur with Hermes Salad. All of the food was delicious but I have to say the PBLT was my favorite! We also visited the little bakery section inside to grab a few treats to take home.
Took a little trip to Sun in My Belly and loved it! Easy parking and Marta-friendly (5-min walk from East Lake). Service was kind, food came out fast. The pimento omelette needed a little salt, but the cheese grits were chef’s kiss. Definitely coming back!
The breakfast was really, really good! Staff was very friendly and food came out fast. Cute place inside and has outside dining as well.
We’ve been here a few times before and it’s nice but can be hit or miss. It’s been a while so we came back today. Our food came out quick but cold. I told the manager and they remade it. When mine came back out it was wrong and burnt. I sent it back. I did not eat it. Other food items were missing. Finally the check comes out and it’s at least 20.00 more than what it should be. They have weird pricing but I didn’t haggle with their pricing, but they charged for food that didn’t come out. That’s an honest mistake but they also charge and automatic 20% gratuity which is fine as long as the service is good. What’s not fine is charging 20% of the total bill, INCLUDING the food I had to send back TWICE. So you remove the food but keep the total for tip purposes. That’s a no for me. They adjusted the bill. But the fact I had to ask was wild. But still, support local businesses. Maybe it’ll be better next time.
Such a homey feel. The food didnt hit my taste buds but that's just my own taste buds. Everyone is diff. It was still fresh & good. Just not mouth watering great but also i did have to subst the bread to GF bread. And im a hot cocoa snob so again it wasnt bad. I will 10000% be back and try something else onthe menu. Def worth it. Potatoes were good too. Ill still give this place a 5str cause its me not them. Alot of seatings & super friendly & clean.

I have visited this place a few times over the years. The food is typically decent. Nothing too unique but gets the job done. On this particular trip to the restaurant parking was horrible as usual and there was somewhat of a wait, which is to be expected on a Sunday morning. We were seated within 15 minutes and waited about 20 minutes for our server to acknowledge us. She came over and took our drink orders. We ordered two caramel lattes. The lattes took an extremely long time to come out. This is without the server coming back to check or give us a status once the server finally took our order. The food came pretty quickly, but everything was cold. The server would rank pretty low in my opinion the restaurant was busy, but the many passes of the table and not acknowledging that we have been waiting seemed a little inconsiderate. Once the check came, it was $68 for two entrées and two lattes after further inspection of the bill there gratuity was already included. This would be why the server didn’t care how our experience was. The automatic gratuity will definitely hurt service in a lot of places because why put effort when you know you’re going to get Paid anyway. PS the cold pimento cheese omelette gave me a stomach ache. Try at your own risk.

We went to SIMB for breakfast and we’re definitely not disappointed. My friend had the standard breakfast that came with Boursin cheese eggs, bacon, and a la gender biscuit. The bacon was thick and perfectly cooked, the eggs were creamy and delicious, and the biscuit was lightly lavender-y but not soapy tasting. The texture of the biscuit was pure bliss. I had the hash, which had sweet potato, bacon, and onions with a fried egg on top and a biscuit on the side. I would have liked if the sweet potatoes were crispy instead of lightly steamed. It definitely was missing some texture but the flavors were nice. The staff was pleasant and there was plenty of parking out back / in the neighborhood. They had a pastry case that was full of tempting options - we will have to try it next time!

Come here often. Food is good but can take a long to come out…especially for it to be mostly breakfast food. Lattes and coffee take a long time to come out as well. Also the service is a little slow and with an automatic 20% gratuity I’d like to not have to look for or ask for my server.
Phenomenal place to meet a friend for breakfast. Loved the quality of my coffee (cortado) and the food! Everything on my plate was well flavored and the flavors melded well with each other. Thank you for a satisfying experience!

My wife and I booked SIMB to cater our wedding, and we could not be more thrilled with how everything turned out. Megan sold us on the vision, and the food was just amazing.
The Management: Megan made us feel comfortable and was exceptional from the start and she made the process so easy. She work extremely hard to coordinate with our other vendors and definitely went the extra mile. When she was unavailable, Max stepped up and didn't miss a beat.
The food: Our guests are still raving post month about the food, and we have gotten multiple "it was the best food i've ever had at a wedding" comments. The food was so good, we had no leftovers at all which is always a good sign.
The Service: The SIMB catering staff was professional and exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and really brought this amazing process with SIMB full circle.
Conclusion: Call Megan NOW if you are are looking for a caterer. You won't be disappointed and your guests will always remember a wedding SIMB catered.
