Such a homey feel. The food didnt hit my taste buds but that's just my own taste buds. Everyone is diff. It was still fresh & good. Just not mouth watering great but also i did have to subst the bread to GF bread. And im a hot cocoa snob so again it wasnt bad. I will 10000% be back and try something else onthe menu. Def worth it. Potatoes were good too. Ill still give this place a 5str cause its me not them. Alot of seatings & super friendly & clean.

I have visited this place a few times over the years. The food is typically decent. Nothing too unique but gets the job done. On this particular trip to the restaurant parking was horrible as usual and there was somewhat of a wait, which is to be expected on a Sunday morning. We were seated within 15 minutes and waited about 20 minutes for our server to acknowledge us. She came over and took our drink orders. We ordered two caramel lattes. The lattes took an extremely long time to come out. This is without the server coming back to check or give us a status once the server finally took our order. The food came pretty quickly, but everything was cold. The server would rank pretty low in my opinion the restaurant was busy, but the many passes of the table and not acknowledging that we have been waiting seemed a little inconsiderate. Once the check came, it was $68 for two entrées and two lattes after further inspection of the bill there gratuity was already included. This would be why the server didn’t care how our experience was. The automatic gratuity will definitely hurt service in a lot of places because why put effort when you know you’re going to get Paid anyway. PS the cold pimento cheese omelette gave me a stomach ache. Try at your own risk.

We went to SIMB for breakfast and we’re definitely not disappointed. My friend had the standard breakfast that came with Boursin cheese eggs, bacon, and a la gender biscuit. The bacon was thick and perfectly cooked, the eggs were creamy and delicious, and the biscuit was lightly lavender-y but not soapy tasting. The texture of the biscuit was pure bliss. I had the hash, which had sweet potato, bacon, and onions with a fried egg on top and a biscuit on the side. I would have liked if the sweet potatoes were crispy instead of lightly steamed. It definitely was missing some texture but the flavors were nice. The staff was pleasant and there was plenty of parking out back / in the neighborhood. They had a pastry case that was full of tempting options - we will have to try it next time!

Come here often. Food is good but can take a long to come out…especially for it to be mostly breakfast food. Lattes and coffee take a long time to come out as well. Also the service is a little slow and with an automatic 20% gratuity I’d like to not have to look for or ask for my server.

Phenomenal place to meet a friend for breakfast. Loved the quality of my coffee (cortado) and the food! Everything on my plate was well flavored and the flavors melded well with each other. Thank you for a satisfying experience!

My wife and I booked SIMB to cater our wedding, and we could not be more thrilled with how everything turned out. Megan sold us on the vision, and the food was just amazing.

The Management: Megan made us feel comfortable and was exceptional from the start and she made the process so easy. She work extremely hard to coordinate with our other vendors and definitely went the extra mile. When she was unavailable, Max stepped up and didn't miss a beat.

The food: Our guests are still raving post month about the food, and we have gotten multiple "it was the best food i've ever had at a wedding" comments. The food was so good, we had no leftovers at all which is always a good sign.

The Service: The SIMB catering staff was professional and exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and really brought this amazing process with SIMB full circle.

Conclusion: Call Megan NOW if you are are looking for a caterer. You won't be disappointed and your guests will always remember a wedding SIMB catered.

My guest and I had a wonderful experience while dining for breakfast at Sun in My Belly. I enjoyed the Kirkwood Breakfast with cheese grits and a wonderful chia latte tea with oatmilk. Our waitress provided excellent recommendations for our first visit

Upon walking in Sun in my belly I was pleasantly surprised by all the wood furniture and it felt a little bit antique which is my jam.
When I walked in I saw a display case with delicious looking pastries and yum yums and wham-whams which I'm not a sugar kind of sister but this had my attention. I purchased the one for my co-workers to enjoy.
Trevor was my server and he was absolutely attentive and listen to my request. Thank you Trevor!!!
Okay I had the belly hash which was very good and filled with umami. It is their take on eggs benedict.
The bacon was not under/ overcooked which I appreciate
The sweet potatoes were very tender and tasty and there were a lot. A lot of potatoes.
The mango Mimosa was hitting!!!
I did not need to use any salt or pepper on any of my dishes.
Neighborhood did not have a lot of traffic but the parking was a little confusing as it's a residential area
I love that they have two different parts to dine in.
They even had a projector screen on the wall.
Now to the not so wonderful
I was excited to taste the lavender biscuits however if they were very dense and that fluffy like I like my biscuit
I did taste the hints of lavender that was not overwhelming.
I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends and visitors that come and hang out with me from time to time.
Enjoy

Sun In My Belly is the best description of my post-meal satisfaction. As a die-hard New Yorker I fell in love with the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese (which I'm pretty certain is house made). Service was excellent and the appears very low key in contrast to the quality of food they produce. Next visit I'm going for the pastries!!

My wife and I love going to Sun In My Belly! The coffee and food are always great. I was a bit disappointed by our last visit. I asked for an egg to go with my avocado toast, and this single egg was $5. I get that restaurants need to make a profit, but $5 for a single egg is pretty laughable
