Taco Mac Virginia Highlands

Good atmosphere if you like the sports bar vibe. I would give this restaurant 5/10. Food wasn't that great.

Order placed for scheduled delivery and this location canceled my order an hour before it was supposed to be delivered stating my order "could not be fulfilled" without any further explanation.

More familiar than good.

This old favorite has been around for many years. Of course, it is the start of the popular chain. It has character and is ingrained in the neighborhood. Visits here are more about enjoying the vibe than the service and food.

On this particular evening, I was impressed at how friendly the server was and how he took our order without writing anything down. The problem is that my fries never came out and when I pointed that out, it took quite a while to get them.

The wings here set the standard for wings in Atlanta many years ago. The buffalo sauce has been imitated by many. They are clearly the flagship of this restaurant.

My sweet potato fries and my kid's corn dogs with regular fries were pretty middle of the road.

On the other hand, there was a fun football thing happening with young guys drinking beer and older folks yelling at the tv.

Dietary restrictions: If you're not worried about cross-contamination, it's easy to get gluten-free and dairy-free meals here. It's worth noting that the hot sauce traditionally has a good bit of butter in it.

Parking: There's a small amount of free parking near the front of the restaurant but not much. Usually, we end up either paying for street parking or getting valet in the lot next door.

Kid-friendliness: They have a decent kids menu and my kid likes it here.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a handicap parking space right at the front door and the restaurant is crowded but accessible.

Unfortunately the parking here seems non existent. There is about 3 parking spots in front if you aren't handicap. So we found somewhere nearby with ample parking.

Perpetually messes up orders (like giving you wrong food, forgetting to give a driver half the food or ignoring a table entirely), it's bad whether you dine in, pick up or do door dash. Love the wings but it's hard to find worse service.

My husband and I went to this place to grab a bite.. there was an empty table with one seat while the table could seat four people. There were two men just sitting in two chairs not eating just watching a game. After we asked the manager if there were extra seats she informed us there were no more chairs. I asked her why would she allow these two men to take seats from a table? She said they usually don’t I asked her what was special about this time? She couldn’t answer my question but then told us we could sit outside under the heaters in 39 degree weather. I told her we were not sitting outside. As a “manager” the correct response would have been for her to ask one of those guys who weren’t being served to move. I’m very disappointed in the service and the lack of response.

Environment is fun, service was nice, food was bad. Most taco Mac’s are consistent the wings were rubbery, fries were cold and just mid. Even the chips and salsa sucked like how do you mess that up? But atmosphere is fun. Worst parking situation though in area

Sad that this represents Taco Mac. We usually go to the Lawrenceville location and rave about the food and service. This location? Saturday night and the food was meh. Almost every order was made incorrectly. Slow service even though it wasn't packed (should have known it was a sad location when it wasn't packed). Then the food was underseasoned and we eat low salt normally so underseason for us means it was really unseasoned.

I ordered some food from here and you could tell all of it was old. The chips they gave me were still in a plastic bag and were stale af! The wings were so hard that you couldn't chew them! I can't believe that they would even serve a customer trash like that. I will never ever go to any Taco Mac again and I will make sure I let everyone know how terrible Taco Mac is every chance I get. It is a waste of money and I would prefer Applebees ir Chilis over this garbage.

I'm a very chill relaxed patron everywhere I go so this really took me aback. The only thing I mentioned while here was that my side dish was burned, and this is what I get on the receipt. "Needy"? Lol what a joke. At this point I've gone from a Taco Mac regular to "never again"

The original Taco Mac remains solid (food and service). Downside is lack of parking.

I love TacoMac! The wings are the best. However, a little disappointed with the flavor of the wings this time. They barely had any sauce. But this crew works hard, it was a super busy game day, and they deserve some grace! Hence the 4 starts?
