Decent local wings chain. However other than the wings being fresh from scratch, therefore maybe the best wings I've ever had, it was a bit grubby and the menu was odd and the beer selection sucked. Great service.

Wow - I don't know how this place survives within 100 yards of George's, Mo's and Joe's, Highland Tap . . . Absolutely confused service, cold food, lots of employees but just hanging together not doing anything. Pls close and let some new blood into the neighborhood. I have never ever left a review like this but still stunned 6 hours later.

Taco Mac's food quality is in a decline- especially for delivery orders. On April 14- around midnight- I ordered the Chicken Tinga Nachos through UberEats. I have had this dish several times and it is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, this order had severe quality issues. First, nachos did not look like the picture at all. The dish is supposed to be creamy, white, and cheesy. What I got was red, watery, and inedible. The nachos smelled like vinegar and tasted as if it was soured or about to turn bad. There was little or no cheese so it wasn't creamy at all. There were also big chunks of chicken in it. Disgusting. Never again.

I love love loooooove Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches. And I truly believe taco Mac has the best in the city. Not only do they have the best Philly Cheese Steak sandwich they have the best humans working in this restaurant. They are so sweet so kind and so sociable. That is so important to me. The food here was great! The ranch was garlicky and wonderful! The quesidilla and spinach dip portions were generous.Server was friendly, knowledgeable, and promptKid-friendliness: While I dont know if I'd take a small child at night, it was fine for my pre-teen. We had to go there late night (11pm!) due to an airbnb snafu, and it was fine.Patrons were appropriate, services were friendly, no issues

After hearing about this being the first taco Mac location and it being so close to home, I knew I had to come visit this location. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by great and fast customer service by Claire. The food was good and the vibes were good. She made the whole experience great, typically we don’t get very good customer service at taco Mac but Claire was the best we ever had!

I was craving the boneless lemon pepper wet wings. It was complete chaos when I went in the middle of a slow Saturday afternoon. The servers are slow to ask if you need any attention. I was there about 25 minutes then a manager came from the back and asked what was my name, I told her my name and order, she immediately returned with my order. It had been sitting there and the entire time the server who took my order and I tipped was walking by to assist her other tables.

VERY UNDERSTAFFED as it took more than ten minutes for server to take order, another ten minutes for drinks to arrive and another ten minutes for food. The wings were LOW QUALITY. Hopefully this is a red flag for Taco Mac to invest more for better representation of legacy.

Ordered online on a Thursday night (no big games on, nothing crazy). Expected about 15-20 minutes until food was ready, and when I got to the restaurant, I was told my food was “coming out next”. I was waiting for over an hour, and it was because they were “understaffed”. On a Thursday night? Adding onto that, my wings were thrown into a box, with suave everywhere. No sauces even though I ordered 3 extra. And to add on, the workers and managers were bumping into people left and right and being extremely rude. Lucky for them, I tipped online before I came.This place is horrendously mismanaged. A larger table outside was waiting outside for far longer than I was and they were obviously frustrated. Tables weren’t being cleaned, people weren’t being served, it was a mess. I don’t know how this place expects to handle big sporting events if they are a sports bar and can’t handle 10-15 customers on a Thursday night. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat in the neighborhood, I’d suggest you look anywhere else in Virginia-Highlands besides this place. Barbacoa, Farmburger, George’s, etc. are all quicker and the same/better quality food, and far nicer and better service.
