I have the most fun time at this bar! The drag shows are so fun, the music is always the best to dance to, and the people I meet on the dance floor are very friendly and make me feel comfortable, which I don’t really feel at other bars in the city (I am straight but not white).

However, I CANNOT stand the bartenders and avoid them like the plague. I always make sure I drink elsewhere if I want to end up at X. They are super mean and snarky. The first time I came with friends, I offered to buy my group’s drinks. The bartender took my card, came back with the biggest smirk and judgiest look on his face, and said my card was declined, as if to assume I didn’t have enough funds. Mind you, I have strict security set on my debit card such that some big purchases may decline, send me a text to make sure it was me, then go through on the second swipe once I’ve confirmed. I totally forgot it was going to do that or else I would have just used another card; I know the bar is busy and it’d be rude to make them try my card twice. But just his assumption, and the smirk, and embarrassing me in front of my friends was so uncalled for and rude.

I have had plenty more uncomfortable and rude experiences with the bar but that was by far and away the worst, and the tipping point for me to never buy drinks at X again.

Love this place down as far as atmosphere but the subtle racism spewing out of some of the bartenders souls is very unsettling…last night one of the bartenders looked me dead in my eyes and proceeded to take all his white customers even ones that came after me as I patiently waited. Eventually I walked away… the white guy next to me even noticed it this interaction and spoke up on it.. you know it’s bad when other white people notice it too… clean it up. Do better. Blake’s would never

Next level show by the queens. Aspen, Aqua and the rest of the cast were hilarious, talented and just outstanding all around performers. The queens here work the room, one of the best shows I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot of drag shows. Bartenders and music were on point. Love this venue. 10/10

I brought my child here for their 21st birthday. I appreciate the love, good vibes, and good drinks. I would definitely come here again. P.s. Austin the bartender is the shit!

I recently visited X Midtown, and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. From the moment I walked in, I encountered people with terrible attitudes just because I chose not to shake hands with a complete stranger. Personal boundaries should always be respected, and it was disappointing to feel judged for that.

The club itself felt chaotic. It was impossible to enjoy dancing because people constantly cut across and disrupted the experience. A good nightlife spot should have some level of crowd control to ensure everyone can have fun without unnecessary interruptions.

What really unsettled me, though, was the presence of an armed police officer inside the club. Seeing someone with a badge in what should be a safe space for our community was alarming. As soon as I noticed him and made eye contact, he quickly left, which only raised more concerns. A club should be a place where we feel secure and welcome—not one where we have to worry about law enforcement watching us.

To make matters worse, I also witnessed someone outside the venue intimidating immigrants. This is completely unacceptable. X Midtown should be a space where all people, regardless of their background or status, feel safe and included.

If safety is truly a concern, the focus should be on proper security measures—like checking for weapons at the door—not allowing guns inside under any circumstances. The world is already difficult enough; the last thing we need is to feel unsafe in what should be our own community space.

X Midtown needs to do better. Everyone deserves a club where they can enjoy themselves without fear, judgment, or intimidation.

Racist and deplorable security. During the 2025 NYE party there was a fight in the club and the security guards instead of actually stopping the fight and taking out the aggressors, they took my partner out who was not doing anything and the security guard told him that he didn’t know how to speak, we assume he was referring to English. The other guards also did nothing to stop the fight. You will not be safe in this establishment.

It’s too noisy, and I can’t sleep. Please be considerate of your neighbors. If nothing else, please at least lower the bass. My ears are ringing until 3 a.m.

Good crowd, drinks were strong enough but music was REALLY basic ?, patio doesn’t even have a speaker to at least play the music lightly. Didn’t have any performers. I went on a Saturday night.

Atlanta needs to step up their gay scene… even Philly’s is better and busier than this.
