This is purely based on the fact that the place is a taphouse: Pretty disappointing beer place. The beer selection didn’t even qualify as meh, mostly basic beers (think Bud Light) on tap, two Terrapin beers.
Visited this location on a Saturday for lunch. No line and lots of open tables. Only two staff members working but that was enough given the low number of people in the establishment. Menu is pretty limited. Don't count on a hamburger or anything considered typical bar food. Ordered the turkey reuben sandwich, was surprised to receive cold cut turkey on rye.......also sad they had very limited Terrapin beers on tap, only 2 on the list were available. The beer brewery is in the name of this place, how can they be out of more than half of them? Crossing this place off the list and won't be back. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat / grab a beer.

Y’all, this is THE SPOT for beer and bar food in the ATL airport. You have to order some Mac and cheese, OMG it’s FIRE!! Marisha was serving the whole room with class, and she really made my day on a long layover at the airport. Thank you, Tarrapin Taphouse!!

The lamest nachos I’ve ever had from a restaurant; did these come from a commercial kitchen or a 10-year old trying to find his way around a kitchen for the first time? I’ve never been so certain a plate of nachos was just a bag of tortilla chips thrown on a tray followed by cold canned chicken and jalapeños with Cheez-Whiz on top. Service was… present. But mostly talking to other people at the end of the bar who seemed to be off-duty employees there to snack and complain about other employees. Server didn’t check in once to ask how the food was. Ambiance was decent, but felt dark/outdated vs options downstairs. I think this location might do a disservice to the brand of one of the south’s original craft breweries until it’s better managed.

-so cold inside you feel like you are in a meat locker. Layer up! ❄️bonus: cold air even blows out from under the bar. You can’t make this stuff up 🤷♀️
-a brewpub that doesn’t have many beers? They didn’t have much on draft and their darkest beer was…wait for it…yuengling 🤣
-service was relatively efficient and somewhat friendly
-the waitress got food from next door while we were here if that helps you decide to eat here or not
-we couldn’t eat here because it was too cold anyway 🐻❄️

Unless you have a 3 hour layover like I did, best to avoid. Draft beer is good, but much like their turtle mascot, it is sloooooooooooooooooow. (Severely understaffed when I was there. People canceling their orders left and right after a long wait for nothing.)

Stopped in for a local craft beer before my flight, they only had one Terrapin Sour available while the menu showed 6 Terrapin beers. If I wanted a sour it would have been fine, but I didn't so I got a Sierra Nevada. Would have preferred a local non-sour beer. Maybe next time.

Stopped for lunch while waiting for a flight. Out of 3 of 4 starters. Very limited menu. Ordered BLT with Avocado and chips. As pictures got the crumbs from a bag of chips, bread was stale, tomato was tasteless and a sliver that covered about a fourth of the bread, and the avocado was more a smear on the bread with at least 3 times more of mayo. Do not recommend for anything but drinking

I don't know why this place is even in an airport. No food at 8pm very few terrapin beers. Just close it up there's really no point.

While I loved spending time at their original brewery in Athens, the ATL airport tap house offered a significantly different experience. None of their advertised IPAs were available on draft, resulting in a ten minute wait for a canned beer poured into a plastic glass while forced to listen to ear-splitting obnoxious music. One-and-done has never been a more appropriate sentiment.

They will hand you a sandwich nothing like the one you ordered and tell you they discontinued some of the ingredients. Just lunch meat and dry white bread. It was terrible. Do not come here.

Nobody was in the place, the Turkey Sandwich was pathetic and service was slow and she was doing way to much to be the bar tender….

Do not go here.
My girlfriend and I ordered a turkey sandwich and waited 45 minutes for one order, we ordered two sandwiches. The sandwich looked and tasted like a 5 year old was making a sandwich for the first time, it came with chips which was basically just crumbs. We didn't stick around to see the second one.
The bartender/waitress was lovely and very apologetic.
I'm assuming they're short staffed in the kitchen and the manager isn't doing their job since they were out of basically everything.
If there's higher management watching this, I recommend you coach or replace kitchen management.
