Went to celebrate my cousins birthday and we had a great time. Plenty to choose from. Meal was great. Nice location. Parking was free for the first two hours which is a plus. It was a good time.
Yao passed my already high expectations! The food was fresh and flavorful and came out quickly! We did the date night special and it was perfect, our server was great and knew the menu so well he got us to try a few new things off the bara bar menu. We loved EVERYTHING especially the Big Mac sushi! Will be back for the great food and hospitality!!
The restaurant was quiet upon entry and parking was a little confusing. After being seated we ordered 2 pink martini mocktails, mussels, potstickers, and calamari to start. While the taste of the apps were average, the presentation was very nice! We then ordered lamb chops and crab fried rice. We sent the lamb back because it lacked flavor and was undercooked (we were never asked for the temp preference). The crab fried rice was great and we finished off with the coconut ice cream which was also great!
As always, Yao did not disappoint. The food is excellent, I had the Crab Fried Rice for the first time and it was great. Service was very attentive but not overly so. Love going here because the atmosphere reminds me of Bangkok. Always recommend and will definitely be back.
Went with my best friend for dinner. The food was amazing. Duck was cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the ice cream with the little show. I would definitely come back here. It is a good restaurant for date nights, birthdays or special events.
Loved, loved, loved the ambiance! I took my partner here for date night, and he loved it! He was very surprised by the place and had a blast singing along with the musicians. The live music was amazing; that girl could blow. ? The service was exceptional! We've already decided we're going back for another date night. The only thing that I didn't like was the portion size for the appetizers and there were fruit flies flying around so I had to keep guard over the food. We ordered the pot stickers, Mongolian beef, and duck fried rice. They were all good and we'll try something different next time.
I booked this reservation and stated it was to celebrate my mom's birthday. While the food and service were good, they made no mention of her birthday, nor did they ask if I wanted to get a dessert for her or to do anything to celebrate. The only acknowledgement was the server simply saying 'happy birthday' as we left. A big let down, especially considering how many other restaurants I could have gone to in the area. I definitely don't recommend this as someplace to go if you're celebrating a special occasion.
My girlfriend and I went there for the first time today and we loved it. The ambience was unique. The food was delicious. The service was amazing. Brian was the manager on duty and spent time sharing his suggestions from the menu and helping us understand the concept. We will definitely be back.

We visited this restaurant for my husband's birthday and we were excited since everything we saw on Yelp looked great. The place is basic on the outside, it sort of looks like a business building but the inside is beautiful. The service was really good, everyone was really nice and helpful. When the food came out we were a bit underwhelmed with the taste, it all had very nice presentation but it looked better than it tasted and we experienced the same with the drinks. We thought it'd at least be at the same caliber as Le Colonial in Buckhead which is my favorite restaurant, unfortunately the only thing in common with Le Colonial were the service and prices. Our bill for 4 people with some apps, one adult drink for three people each (one was a child) and the 4 main entrees was almost $400. I don't think we will be going back just based on the food and prices.
Our experience at Yao was exceptional! Our server Eric was top notch! Eric was very attentive and informative pertaining the menu and drinks suggestions. The food was delicious, I would highly recommend. Everything we ordered was delicious. My favorite dish was the duck noodles. We order a lot of items from appetizers to main entrees, we were not disappointed at all. The mussels were very flavorful. The grilled octopus was good, the Tom yum soup and the cream cheese were ok nothing mind blowing. However, the lobster pad Thai was yummy. We will be back again. I highly recommend Yao, for a girls day out or a dinner date you will not be disappointed.
The red wine selection was terrible. I tasted a couple that had gone bad. Food was good but not outstanding. The curry duck was nice but a bit pricey. I did appreciate they had a few selections that were not the ordinary Asian selections. Need much better signage on the outside of the restaurant. Parking was a bit confusing but OK. Only 2 hours free but paying $4 isn't a bad price for parking. Nothing outstanding to bring me back for a return visit.
We went for a date night and ordered food from date night menu. Food was not fresh at all, very stale. When we asked the waitor about the chicken dish we ordered , he agreed and got us a new plate but even that was okay. we didn't argue much ... dessert was okay too
The food was a disappointment for all of us. It was just not flavorful at all. The appetizers were much better than the dishes...the entries were either salty or had no flavor. It's a beautiful place with great drinks, but we decided the next girls dinner wont be here unfortunately.
