We were in the mood find a new breakfast place that had a nice atmosphere, great food and good service to get our weekend kick started. On paper, The Betty met all of the criteria. It had great reviews here on Google and it was beautiful when we walked in to the restaurant.
However, we should have known something was wrong when there was only two other tables that had people in them. They left before we got finished and no one else was there for the balance of our meal.
When we ordered, the server was prompt. Then the problems started. The coffee arrived and if you enjoy coffee, you will be disappointed. It was among the top three weakest coffees we've ever had. The server suggested that we have the Americano that was a step up but not great.
Then the food arrived. I ordered the eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy with a susage patty. What I did not realize when I ordered, because it was not listed, it was chicken sausage and chicken sausage gravy. It tasted like the chef put in two tablespoons of sugar in the gravy. It was way too sweet. The chicken sausage was inedible. I did eat the two over easy eggs, but only had two bites of the biscuits and sausage.
My wife had the chicken and waffle. The chicken was undercooked inside and overcooked on the outside. The waffle was soggy. She had two bites of each.
If there had been any other patrons in the restaurant, I would have give a higher review of the atmosphere because it looked nice. However, the food had no redeeming qualities.
Before the food came, my wife was talking about bringing her women's dining group here for dinner. After the food fiasco, we committed to stay away and warn everyone we know to do the same.

I had the steak frites and it was amazing. I requested it to be cooked medium well and the steak came out delicious!! Great atmosphere especially on Thursday nights with the live jazz and our service was great!

Dined here with a large work group. The mow t you walk in, the vibe and decor is very mid century modern and gorgeous!
The team we interacted with were all very knowledgeable and friendly!
As for the food, the ciabatta bread was warm and crispy. It’s made with bone marrow, but i didn’t get much of that flavor. The beet salad was fresh and delightful! The crab cake was crispy and very flavorful!
As for entrees, the salmon was delicious! The risotto however was a bit under done and both the risotto and spinach could use more flavor.
The pappardella with poach shrimp was another stand out entree! It was flavorful and delicious.
As for the rack of lamb, for a $74 price tag, i would personally skip it. There was not much flavor and the polenta also could use more seasoning. The Mac n cheese however made up for the polenta as it was very moist and flavorful.
In all, a decent experience but items could use more seasoning and flavorful.

The server/bartender was so flustered. She was complaining to a new guest about the previous guest although she placed their order wrong. I spoke up asked her not to do that. I told her, we agreed that it would be a greaft day and The lady appreciated you correcting the orders and gave you an extra tip. So you repay her by talking behind her back. She said it was a rush of people and it was too busy. I also told her the hotel knew we had an large group coming in so they should have prepared better. Not a good experience and I decided not to eat their the next morning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Betty at Colony Square has an undeniably elegant atmosphere — chic interiors, warm lighting, and an upscale vibe that makes it one of Atlanta’s stylish dining destinations.
🍽️ Unfortunately, the chicken entrée missed the mark. Beautifully plated over lentils with grilled lemon, but the flavor fell flat — almost reminding me of that famous lyric, “the chicken taste like wood.” For such a polished presentation, I expected more depth, seasoning, and execution to match the restaurant’s reputation for elevated Southern-inspired cuisine.
🙌 On the positive side, service was excellent. Cody, the manager, was kind, compassionate, and stood firmly on business — a reminder that great hospitality is still alive in Atlanta fine dining.
💡 Overall: With a little more attention to seasoning and consistency, the kitchen could bring the food up to the same level as the ambiance and service.
📍 If you’re looking for elegant dining in Atlanta or a stylish Midtown restaurant near Colony Square, give them a try, they may have had a bad day— just hoping the kitchen tightens up execution to fully deliver on the promise.

Unfortunately, we had a poor experience. The tomato medley was grossly oversalted. The grilled ny strip not medium rare as ordered but overdone and tasteless. Mixed summer vegetables were quite good. I think the kitchen was having a terrible, very bad, no good day. There is potential for improvement- perhaps they are understaffed? PS- bar had no mint for a drink order- kitchen had mint for an appetizer- what goes on? Aren't they friends?
Brunch was horrible! I am an Atlanta native and have had Sunday Brunch at hundred's of restaurants and this was the worst! Empty at 1:30 (3 tables), cold waitstaff who do not even hardly speak, let alone check to see if you are happy or say “enjoy your meal” when served and very cold Eggs Benedict served on a chipped old plate with no presentation. Just the eggs. Horrible experience. Save yourself and head to McDonalds for a warmer experience.
I love this place. The ambiance, the service, the ease in which to park. It's Lovely.. But the chicken dish is gone and I came back after a year to have that. It must be back on there. My friend had the branzino and she said it was just okay. You had this wonderful chef last time I was there.
The restaurant has this Italian, European cuisine vibe so let the name not deceive you. The food is amazing. Tuna is strongly recommended. Very tender and sweet and spicy. Loved it. The new your strip stake is very flavorful and juice with a note of a flame grill. And of course the dessert. This was the most amazing home made carrot cake. I don’t know how they did this. Tasted like it was just made. Last but not least the service. We had the most amazing waiter - Eric D. He was the best. Got me a Negroni off the menu. Recommended all the greatest appetizers and even helped me to choose my first margarita. Definitely will go back ❤️

Jason (the host) 7/22/25 would not let me in to the restaurant with my registered service animal. I kindly explained Georgia law and he dismissed me, saying pets and service animals were the same thing. I am filing a complaint with the ADA for the discrimination this restaurant violated.

We had dinner at The Betty inside the Kimpton Hotel and were genuinely surprised by how incredible the food was. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
We’re from VA, so we know a good crab cake — and let me just say, the Maryland crab cake appetizer was hands down the best crab cake I’ve had. It wasn’t full of breading like so many others; it was meaty, flavorful, and had absolutely no fishy taste. Just pure, delicious crab in every bite.
My husband ordered the burger, which was perfectly cooked — juicy, flavorful, and every ingredient melted together beautifully. I had the steak and frites, cooked medium-well, and it was tender and melt-in-your-mouth good — not dry or chewy at all, which is rare.
And we have to mention the Bees Knees mocktail — it was so refreshing and delicious, we asked for two more! It was the perfect complement to the meal.
The service was warm, the vibe was elevated but relaxed, and we’re already planning to come back next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

If u only could give a zero. By far the worst restaurant I been to for a special occasion. They knew it was my wife birthday as they saud happy birthday upon arrival. But they did not even have a candle to lid. Food and atmosphere was dead and awful. If you stay in this hotel and u have no where to go then maybe. But I would definitely not do it. No parking unless you valet and no valet staff to park your car. 15 dollars to valet with a 5 dollar tip.

I would’ve given five stars except the service was barely adequate. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was lovely. The valet service was off the chain and very friendly guys.

I recently celebrated my anniversary at The Betty, and it was an experience to remember. We went on jazz night, and the live music brought an elegant, soulful energy to the evening—it set the perfect tone for a romantic celebration.
We started with the crab cakes and Oysters Rockefeller, and both dishes were outstanding. The crab cakes were golden and crisp on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. The Oysters Rockefeller were rich, savory, and perfectly broiled—a true standout.
For drinks, I had the Sip in Pear-is, which was refreshing and subtly sweet with a lovely pear finish. My husband chose the Old Fashioned Betty, a bold and well-balanced take on the classic cocktail. Each drink was beautifully crafted and complemented the meal perfectly.
The service was warm and attentive from start to finish. We felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated, which made the evening even more special.
If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience with great food, live jazz, and top-tier cocktails, The Betty is the place. It was the perfect spot for our anniversary, and we can’t wait to come back.

I eat duck and couscous, the duck had no flavour at all and it was very well done. I asked to do a new one, still came with no flavour. Sad. My husband order steak and fries, it was ok.
