Definitely felt like a throwback to an episode of Mad Men, except patrons not well-dressed. I could feel the segregation vibe ... same furniture and paintings. There were others patrons of color. Not soul food, but southern. I was with friends that were more comfortable with the environment and probably came back in the day. I'll pass.
Once upon a time there was a 4-6pm reduced dinner menu. THAT DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE! Still appears in Google search.

Felt like I was having dinner at a friends house- delicious meal, Southern hospitality at its finest.

Food was ok. Place has and old time 60’s feel
Better than Grandma cooked for Sunday dinner!
Nice old place. Sides are a little small but plenty of food. Walking in, you feel like a fancy place your grandmother would have taken you to.
Been going there since the 1980’s the food is still wonderful. I only miss the butter and crackers the served long ago.
Very disappointed. I've been dining at The Colonnade since the late 1970s, and up until tonight, it's always been a good experience, in every way. My visit there with friends tonight was equally terrible. The service was slow and disrespectful. The food was cold and skimpy, and the prices were way out of line. The gravy on my turkey had skin on it. It had obviously been sitting on a counter for at least half an hour. One friend's fried chicken was dry and stringy. Another friend was served cold salmon. There was no basket of warm homemade rolls and cornbread. Instead, each diner got one cold roll and one tiny piece of cold cornbread. I hate to say it,but we've decided to cross Colonnade off our list. The new management has ruined an Atlanta institution.
Inattentive waiter, 'hot' foods served cold and dry, tasteless, tiny portions, overpriced, took too way long for meal to be served, loud/noisy. Been going here for 48 years, but no mo. Just ain't what she used to be.

I will always be a fan of this restaurant because of the integrity of their workers. I had dinner her on a Sunday. The server was great and very attentive. Later that evening I realized I left my credit card on the table. I immediately called the restaurant and was told if they had the card it was already locked up because they were closed. I went back to the restaurant the next day as soon as they opened. I told the person I had left my card there the day before and he went to check and brought my card to me. I haven't had any issues of fraudulent activity. That speaks volumes to me and raises the loyalty factor!
The Colonnade has been open over 100 years everything is top notch classy food
Has lost some of it's previous charm.
This icon of ATL delivers. Tried for the first time with my hubbie and two sons and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The portions are large, the food is flavorful, NOT bland, and the service is fast and friendly. Freddy was our waiter and he was excellent. We're definitely going back!
I have been going to the Colonnade for 40 years, it's a Southern Cuisine institution, and an Atlanta landmark. After Covid the Colonnade showed signs of bitting the bullet, along with a lot of other places. Fortunately new owners have stepped in to save this Atlanta Food Mecca. This was my first visit in several years and won't be my last, the place is back! Strong service, excellent food and a clientele of old Atlantans that cannot be found anywhere else, save the Varsity maybe. I had the chicken fried chicken with lima beans and fried okra; it was perfect; fresh, well prepared with good portions. My picture shows my empty plate, I ate every bite. There are always pictures of nice looking food in these reviews but I wanted you to see the results of good tasting food served to a hungry Southern Man! Check out the Colonnade when in Atlanta, it's a can't miss proposition.
