We love consulate. This was duet time that the food was just ok. Not as seasoned and seemed plain like food we could get from a banquet. The dessert was extremely good...
The Consulate was the best experience I've ever had in a restaurant of any kind. It began with me calling to push my reservation back 15 minutes on a Saturday night and how easily accommodated I was. My server Jay was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and made excellent recommendations making sure our dining experience as wonderful as possible as first-timers celebrating our birthdays. The food was complex, meticulously prepared, and just plain delicious. The bar created any drink we wanted and made them so well, we ordered more than I thought we would. I'm still dreaming about that modified smoked old fashioned with peach and mint. Finally, our service and food was so good, we asked a passing sever to speak to the manager. We were quickly visited by no other than one of the owners and husband of the executive chef! We praised the diverse and delicious menu, the decor, exchanged gardening tips, and promised we'd be back for more when they menu changes to Jamaica in the next couple of months as we love the food, but that's if we don't end up back before then! Thank you for that experience. It was easily worth double what I paid. You have a permanent and frequent visitor in me.
I think the food is was unique and very good. Once our server arrived, he was pretty good, we did wait about 10 minutes to order drinks. He was knowledgeable about the menu, and helped explain it.
This was an absolute delight. Literally the second best meal I had at a restaurant. #1 was Mayta in Lima, Peru (which is in top 50 restaurants in the world). The bulgogi with squid ink pasta and the arroz con mariscos were two of my favorites. We celebrated my wife's birthday there and it was top notch.
Definitely a different sort of place. I'm glad we tried it out but we're unlikely to be back for a second visit. The food was just okay and the service was good but not stellar as I had expected based on many reviews of the restaurant. The decor was definitely interesting and parking was great considering you didn't have to pay in mid-town. A definite bonus. If you are looking for something completely different, this is definitely the place.
Tried out the fare from the Galapagos Islands. Everything was incredible. Best meal of the year.
Amazing! Service was great. The short rib was incredible. Definitely check this place out.
Wonderful experience since the moment we walked in. We tried 5 dishes and each was fantastic. Great flavorful food and a great place to celebrate my birthday!
Our server Jay(only been there for 7 or so months) was very very pleasant! Great great recommendations! I will be back and be sure to ask for Jay again! Thank you!
We ordered 4 appetizers, the 3 most expensive entrees, and 2 desserts. Ask the food was very well seasoned and the flavors were different from anything I've ever had before. Our waitress, Cherry, and the rest of the wait staff were amazing! The ambience is cozy and well put together. I will definitely go back!

Such a great spot! We've had Cherry as our server the past couple of times and she is lovely! It's so fun to be able to try different cuisines based on the quarterly menu change from the globe spin. We've gotten to try many new dishes that way! We loved Tibet earlier this year, and yesterday for my fiancées birthday we tried Galápagos Islands. The lamb chop lollipops are one of our favorites from the regular menu. The ambiance is also so nice- the restaurant is beautiful and the vibes are always on point! Fabulous cocktails as an added bonus.
The experience was great and Jay our server was polite, professional and courteous. He explained the menu in great detail and delivered truly a memorable dining experience. He is a valuable asset to Consulate.
Good food and ambience. Our waitress was great, checked on us periodically and answered questions with no problem. The food was flavorful and fresh.
The food is delicious, the ambience is wonderful, and we had a great time celebrating my husband's 65th birthday.
