Absolutely trash, service was horrible. Sat us in front of the kitchen door even when there were a lot of tables open. We had to ask couple times just for water, they couldn’t even exchange the drink my friend took one sip of as it was disgusting, they did not accommodate to change the drink or take it off the bill, so we still had to pay for the drink even when she did not drink it. We were the youngest ones there and it felt like they treated us like we we didn’t have money or paying customers. For a restaurant of this caliber where we spent so much i expected more hospitality

Outstanding in every respect! We both ordered off the "Visa" menu, which currently features dishes from Paraguay. Can't wait to go back. A real gem in the heart of Midtown.

The food was awesome! We got the Munster Mini’s and the Duck Confit for appetizers and both the dishes were unique and brilliant. The duck especially was incredible with the BBQ sauce, on a toast. We also got the Caazapá Carne Asada from Paraguay visa menu, and although it could've been rarer rather than medium, it was delicious. It felt like having a steak with salsa and we loved the combo. Definitely worth a visit every 90 days at least!

We were impressed from the moment we walked in. The decor was stylishly eclectic and reflective of the different corners of the world represented in the culinary masterpieces. We had a group of 8 and were comfortably sat at a table large enough to accommodate our group. The drinks were well crafted and complimentary to our respective dishes. As a Nigerian, I can share that they served one of the best Jollof rice dishes you will find in Georgia. Their version is based on the jollof prepared in the Ivory Coast. It Just the right level of spice and smokiness present in authentically prepared Naija Jollof.Everyone one at our table thoroughly enjoyed their selected entrees and appetizers.Looking forward to our next visit.

The ambiance was creative and eclectic just like the menu. I love the variation of the menu, inspired by a highlighted country. The service was great and our server, Cindy was very knowledgeable about the menu. The only downfall was the restaurant is not visible from the street and GPS was not helpful finding the restaurant or parking.

Always a great experience at the consulate! The Paraguay menu is yet again another genius execution by the chef! She's incredible! I had the lobster empanada!! Absolutely amazing!

Great server, informative. The guy who looks like tia and Tamera's brother. Food was good but not worth the price in our opinion. The drinks were nice, the place looks cool inside, and it can be casual with friends or intimate. Would come back for a snack and drinks.

One of the best dining experiences we've had in years! Jordan took incredible care of us throughout our meal, which was no small feat to satisfy everyone's needs and wants. He provided outstanding, honest recommendations and we ended up with one of the most satisfying meals any of us can remember. The Munster Minis and Sopa Paraguaya set us up beautifully. The Munster Minis were especially great; that balsamic sauce dip will linger in my mind for some time! Some of us delved further into the Paraguayan dishes with Tortilla Paraguay, which was reported to be phenomenal. One of us had the Côte D'Ivoire Vegetable Jollof Rice and devoured it almost without breathing. I had the Battambang Market Ribs and, really, these are some of the best ribs I've ever eaten. The sauce was sweet and tangy all by itself but when the chili vinegar dipping sauce entered the picture... Oh boy. We drove nine hours to get to Atlanta. I'd drive home and back again to have more of these ribs! The atmosphere in The Consulate is an experience all by itself, the brainchild of the co-owner, Douglas, whose wife, Mei Lin, is the Executive Chef and Co-Owner (he told us). Like the menu, the interior design goes way beyond the standard to create a memorable, distinctive experience. The eclectic decor, full of personal touches and whimsy, has many stories of its own. Something to be experienced rather than described.I truly hope The Consulate blossoms further in and beyond Atlanta. The world needs more of what Douglas, Mei Lin, and their staff are creating, day in and day out. The inspired menu, relentless focus on quality, delightful aesthetic, and warm, sincere service are a heady mix to experience all at once.Do not leave Atlanta without eating at The Consulate.Vegetarian options: A vibrant mix of options!Parking: The parking is paid but The Consulate will validate.

Server, Robert, was excellent. My country specific starter was very good. My partner ordered ribs that were very tasty when he could get to the meat under the “char”. The waiter asked the chef to redo them and were surprised by the answer. Basically, you pay for them as you ordered them. After the waiter agreed the ribs were more charred than normal the chef/kitchen agreed to remake the dish at a half order. I generally give everyone the benefit of the doubt. In this case I am guessing the chef does many experimental dishes with the different countries they run into people who just don't like what they ordered. Ingredients cost so understand. In our case, my partner liked the taste just wanted them to not be burnt on outside. The chef provided a half order with less char that were very good. However, with the number of dining options I doubt we will give the restaurant another chance.

I love the ambiance and the decor of The Consulate. A great dining experience with awesome service. I had a perfectly prepared delicious Paraguayan marinated flank steak with a delicious chimichurri sauce. I had the hasselback potatoe, it was well seasoned, but a little dry. Tasted as if it was reheated and not freshly made, but it didn't take away from the great experience. I would highly recommend dining here. And I can't forget to mention the delicious craft cocktails!! They were amazing.

I went to this spot for my birthday and boy let me tell you this place was pretty awesome! Gentlemen please remove your hats. Our server was Jordan and the young man didn't disappoint. He knew the menu well and offered great suggestions. My girlfriend ordered the Black Truffle Bulgogi and I had the Seabass. The drinks were great also. I had a great time. I highly recommend. You will spend a grip but it's worth it. They do have parking in the deck and the restaurant will validate your ticket.

The food was god awful and expensive. I was with a VIP and was completely embarrassed. I didn't look at the menu till I arrived. The place is lovely and the drinks were great. But the food was unforgivable. The saving grace was a cheeseburger they had on the menu. That was good. Sorry guys. Do much better
