To quote my fiancé “It’s the kind of experience you’re grateful for…because it’s over.” Overpriced, mediocre food, small portions, and the staff were overwhelmed. Not bad, but not where I’d spend my money in VAHI.

The service was terrible. I'm not sure why they were even open because everything we ordered was out: shrimp po boy: "we're out"; bbq pork tacos: "we're out of salsa verde" - so it was served dry with no sauce; Captain and Coke: "we're out of Captain Morgans!" The waitress barely checked on our table and the food (what was left of it) took FOREVER to be served. Hopefully this was just a bad night.

Really a good atmosphere. I like the big screen TV. The burgers were great, but had to wait on a BLT sandwich for 10 minutes after the burgers were served. Our server Natalie was awesome and very friendly and apologized for the delay.

They very busy but our service was very kind and our food was good. We really liked that they had water bowls for our pupper.

A sweet and accessible neighborhood bar and restaurant with friendly service, the Family Dog is a good option for a drink and casual meal when in the neighborhood. We stopped in on a recent Saturday morning, and enjoyed a couple beers before settling in to our brunch- a huge and hearty southwestern black bean and egg bowl for me, and breakfast tacos for her. It hit the spot and made for a fun and relaxed weekend morning.

I had the Ruben sandwich. The marble rye was fresh and tasted great. The pastrami slices were a good thickness but not too thick. The sauerkraut wasn't over powering and the Swiss cheese was very tasty.

Not really a dog Friendly restaurant if the dog has to stay outside. I mean, we could have just went somewhere outside to eat instead ?We didn't eat.. Had a shot and ✌️Oh.. The server was really nice. Which is why we had that shot

We have been coming here for years, it's one of our favorite spots in Atlanta. Wednesday Trivia is the best, and it's a great place to watch games and hang out with friends.Byron, who bartends on trivia nights, is the best. The GM, Duffy, is great and always takes care of us. The serving staff is friendly and set such a great vibe.Vegetarian options: One of our friends is vegetarian and he loves their veggie wraps. Lots of options!

They let me in a few minutes early which was super nice as I had a short window for a snack and a glass of wine. Very friendly staff. Great spot to watch a game!

This was the 2nd time my family and I have attempted to support this establishment and twice we have been failed by the wait staff. We were PURPOSELY ignored and looked over by 3 different waiters, twice by the same waitress who we even held the door for because she had her hands full of drinks. She looked at us as we walked in the building and then we decided to sit outside where she was waiting on patrons as we had our dog Bishop. She saw us sit down, brought menus and left. Another couple came up, sat down next to us after we had been waiting for 5-6 minutes for her or another wait staff to come back. Another waitress walked up to the couple after us and decided she would take their order. The couple said to her our family was here before them, she turned around and looked at us and proceeded to help the other couple, still ignoring us. Another couple came up and sat across from us, another male staffer came and took their order and clearly ignored us again. The first waitress came out AGAIN, waited on one of her other tables, looked at us again and walked off. By that time, the 2 other families after us, had their drinks and yet we were still sitting there being ignored. Unfortunately I had to raise my voice in order to be addressed or waited on. At that time I am clearly pissed and feel we were being discriminated against as this is the 2nd time this has happened at this spot. Once I raised my voice all of a sudden the "I'm sorry" and "oh I didn't realize you were not helped" and "sorry we didn't see you" started flowing... WTH... YOU DIDN'T SEE US... you gave us menus...If you are African American please do not waste your time nor money patronizing this establishment. This happened on 12/30 around 4pm

After a failed attempt to get a seat at Whiskey Bird & Truva, we aimlessly wandered into The Family Dog. We just wanted a quick drink and snack before heading home but were really hoping we would be able to bring the pup! And leave it to a restaurant called the Family Dog to be the best dog friendly option in the 'hood! We were seated on the empty dog friendly patio pretty quickly (it was a hot summer day). The server was hard to flag down but once we got her, we were able to order quickly and efficiently. She also brought a pup cup to my dog which she thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered an Aperol Spritzer to help cool off and we paired it with an order of tots and queso, as recommended by our server. Honestly, it was all the perfect little snack, while letting us dine with our dog. I'll have to stop in for a full meal next time!
