The red beans and rice was delicious. The lemon cake and bread pudding were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. They take pride in their work and it shows in the food!

Can't really say anything good about this place. The food was subpar at best, ham sandwhich had enough meat for half a sandwhich, some lettuce and pickles on the side, I've had better sandwiches from gas stations. The creole chicken pasta was an overcooked glob of pasta, the voodoo jambalaya had decent flavor but also overcooked and inconsistent, the shrimp were cooked to mush. All in all, would definitely preferred to kept my money and skipped this meal entirely.

This place was AMAZING. Service was kind, food was bomb. We got the jambalaya and Mac and cheese and that was seriously one of the best Mac and cheese I’ve had. If we were in town, definitely would be regulars. Thank you so much!

Food was very good. I enjoyed my jambalaya (Seasoned well) and bread pudding had so much flavor. Delicious! It was more than enough for two meals.

To start, when they say limited seating, they mean it. Luckily we were able to find a seat. We were told it would take 15-20 mins for food. It took closer to 30 it was a Tuesday around 6p) Fine. My husband ordered the shrimp poboy and fries. He said it was OK. The bread was crusty and difficult to bite through and the shrimp were lacking compared to what we expected, but the fries were delicious. I got red beans and rice with sausage. It was so spicy it was inedible. Now I love red beans and rice. When we went to New Orleans last year I ate it at three different restaurants. But this was soo spicy. My husband took one bite and asked how I'd managed it more. It was spicy to the point of being uncomfortable. My nose was running, my eyes were watering. I had to quit after about 10 bites and throw it away.

I really enjoyed the food. That Voodoo chicken and macaroni was sooooooo good, dam! I always eat there whenever I’m in town. It’s a must. The bread pudding made me scream because it was delicious!!!! I waited a little longer than usual because they were busy.I will be back.

Jambalaya was very very salty as expected unfortunately. And the bread pudding I was about halfway through and a large hair came out of my mouth they had just left the sauce for the bread pudding in Tupperware on the counter uncovered leaving it open for bugs and overall unhealthy conditions there at this place.

It's Sunny In the South

I read that The Food Shoppe had the best bread pudding in Georgia, and that, my friends, is no lie. The staff, who may have also been the owners, were incredibly gracious. Shrimp and grits and strawberry cake were on point as well.

Very inconspicuous shop with absolutely amazing food. We had the two Jambalayas they had on offer and they were incredible. Lots of meat, seasoning, and flavours. Could eat it everyday easily. Service is fantastic as well.

I am not kidding when I say I have thought about this meal every day since I’ve had it and have seriously considered moving to Atlanta just for The Food Shoppe. I’ve been very lucky to try a lot of wonderful food from all over the world, and this is top of my list.

I went for breakfast and got a veggie omelette, which came with a side of grits and potatoes. I shared this and an order of bread pudding with my mom. The food, service, and friendliness are out of this world!!!! Thank you to the chef — I’ll remember sharing this meal with my mom for a lifetime!

This was my first time stopping by after a colleague shared that the food was really good. Unfortunately, I think I may have caught them on an off day. This is the mac & cheese with chicken. While I didn’t enjoy the taste overall, it was also very, very, very salty.
