The wings here, are everything! I had the opportunity to try the buffalo jerk wings which will blow your mind.
It is seat yourself and the seating went quick, the night I was there. Music was on point. One thing that is unique is how they announce when your order is ready! They definitely have a good time with this.
Overall the atmosphere, food, and service were good. I will definitely be going back.
My picture does the wings no justice but this just means you have to go try it for yourselves. You won’t be disappointed unless you show up and they run out of wings.

Came in around 6:30 on a Thursday. It’s a humble, hole in the wall joint with alternative music. Saw people of all ages. Place was packed! The floor was sticky from what I assumed was too much soap in the mop water, but it was swept, and the ladies’ restroom was clean. Took about 10-15 minutes to get through the line which wasn’t bad for what we got, and it took 15-20 minutes to get the food. The wings are big and seasoned well. Fries are extra crispy, which I like. The shots are also quite large. Enjoyed playing darts and other bar games with friends.

I stopped by this place when I visited Atlanta because I heard that they had great boiled peanuts, which I can confirm. Then I saw that they had $3 pbr tallboys and vegan tacos on their menu and was sold. The atmosphere is great and the bartenders were fantastic. The Local is was Ray Oldenburg was talking about when he wrote The Great Good Place.

Ummm. Came here because everyone raved about the wings. They say that they’re smoked but I didn’t taste indication that they were smoked. They seemed fried hard, like almost Burnt. We got lemon pepper. They had no flavor whatsoever. Really disappointed. We spent $46 on 5 piece wings with side and one cocktail. Never again.

Great bar. Wings are meaty and the sauce is great! Ranch is made in house. If you like smoked wings these are a MUST

The service was good, the staff were down to earth and quick. The place was pretty clean, and had a chill vibe. The chicken wings however were pretty basic- they were quite over cooked, and lacked major salt and the dry rubs (we tried lemon pepper, sun-dried tomato and jerk) were not overly flavorful so it just ended up tasting like spice less, overcooked, saltless chicken wing. Not sure it’s worth the hype. JR Crickets down the road- wet lemon pepper wings are where it’s at.

Honest review:
The wings are over cooked. There was no option for wet lemon pepper. These wings were so dry you could crack the bones in your hand. This place is over hyped. I went to JR Crickets before the local, and I would recommend JRs everyday. The service at JRs is not as great. But if you want better wings……

Came on a Friday night at 8:00 with my family to watch FSU game. Heard great things and saw great reviews on the wings. Bouncer sitting at front door, without saying hello, how are you, nothing - just goes “not getting in, 21+ only.” I said “hey just grabbing food with the family, we’re not drinking.” Bouncer proceeds to say he “doesn’t care.” I asked if I could go in to take an order to go. “No” while pointing at the sign on the door that says no to go wings. I asked if we could order other food besides wings. He proceeds to just point at the door. Completely unprofessional and rude, great way to lose out on paying customers. Will not be back.
EDIT: after reading the reviews I can see the owners don’t care but just giving others heads up. Looking forward to the owner’s response to my review
