The Projects Restaurant and Lounge

I visited The Projects on two separate weekends, and unfortunately the customer service was consistently poor. On my first visit, an employee who identified himself as the manager was visibly frustrated with a bartender for arriving late and took that frustration out on customers.

On my most recent visit, when I asked for extra lemon pepper and honey hot because my wings and shrimp were dry, he reacted as if I made an unreasonable request — sighing, huffing, and behaving as though I was inconveniencing him. I had to remind him that customer service is part of the job.

The food itself is good, but the attitude and lack of professionalism ruin the experience. If you’re okay with great food and terrible customer service — as is unfortunately common in many Atlanta establishments — this place will fit the bill.

This is an excellent place to dine wonderful atmosphere great place for life music. The have two bars you can always catch your favorite sports game.

The bathrooms are filthyyyyyy. The stall doesn’t even have a door. After seeing that, I didn’t want food or a hookah. I just paid for the drink that I had already ordered which literally just taste like lemonade and not a lemon drop.

This is my absolute favorite lounge in the city of Atlanta. A very laid back reserved establishment where a good time is guaranteed! The music/ DJ is always on point! You gone bust a move or sing a tune fasure! The hookah is everything a hookah should be, the drinks are always strong, and the food? YUUMMMMY! I haven’t had a bad dish yet. The owners/staff are always so patient, kind & professional! This place has a classic Atlanta vibe to it that will make anyone comfortable in their setting. I enjoy because thats hard to come by nowadays with so many outta towners & gentrification taking over. No facade, I love The Projects indeed. A loyal customer ?

Best hookah in Atlanta hands down and the most amazing bar tender - Meheret. Dope music, food and friendliest vibes. I’ve been coming here as my number 1 spot in Atlanta every time I visit. It’s consistently amazing on all fronts. Free to get in, booths and seats at the bar. It really has everything you need.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Never any complaints. Meri the bartender is always super sweet and has a dope soul! Also Mussa is always on point with the hookah. I will always return for a hookah and drink. Food is also always on point.

Two of my friends and I came to this establishment and the service we had was awful! The waitress checked on us one time throughout the night and when it was time to pay, we had to flag her down through two other servers. Our table wanted to evenly split the bill 3 ways. She ended up charging me for ALL 3 people plus charging them separately. She then informed me of the mistake and said she reversed the charges. It has been a week and she in fact did not refund anything. The ‘manager’ called me and said he’s had to reach out to the bank but since it was after 5pm when we spoke, he’d have to call them the next day. But he assured me that I’d hear from him. No response for two days. On top of that, someone by the name of Pan Robinson FOUND me on Facebook and practically threatened me due to the review I left. I will be reporting this behavior as well. Stay away from this business.***Update*** I spent three hours in person trying to get my money back, but the owner couldn’t even conjure up $123 to refund me from their cash app OR the register. How are you in business and you don’t even have $123 to your name?!
