Most bars I visited in Midtown and Little Five were too loud or packed with a college crowd - fun, but not quite my vibe. Then I found The Righteous Room.
Low lighting, perfect music, and a relaxed energy made it feel like a hidden pocket of calm in the city. The real standout? The staff. Maggie, the bartender, was not only kind but went out of her way to write me a list of other spots to check out next time I'm in town. Who does that?
If you want a bar that feels local, laid-back, and full of heart — this is the one.

They fired up the fryers for us early to make us wings. They were some of the best wings I've had in a while. Great service as well. Will be back for sure.

No enough parking.

You can be at the bar wanting to spend $200 for food but they will ask you to walk and get water from the nasty container at the back because they cannot be bothered. When did it get ok to sit at the bar, be told you won't be served water along with your drinks or food and be expected to pay a min of 20% tip unless you are a bad customer. Pls avoid. Go to a place that gives service. The pandemic is long over.

No nonsense dive bar. Don't expect staff to make you feel good about yourself. But they will get you your beer quickly whilst it's still cold. Great place.

Big fan of their hand pies. Comes in several flavors and it's good, light eating. Their beer and a shot drink special is a classic. The environment is great. One of my go to dive bars.

Horrible service. As soon as our group walked in, we could tell we were not welcome. Server was not pleasant and we left within 3 min. Wouldn’t recommend

The bartender we had was so nice! She made an amazing dirty Shirley! I had myd rink and watched Spongebob at the bar. What more could I want?

This place SUCKS. The menu has not changed in ages and is mostly uninspiring options with gross combinations. But it's the service the makes this place ultimately so terrible. The servers are INTENTIONALLY RUDE. It was bad enough when the female bartender had attitude toward us, but when the male server was outrageously rude when he came to our table, we decided we would NEVER patronize the place again (after years of not having been there because of the bad food and servers with attitude). AVOID.

Parking: Terrible because you have to pay for parking now. Plaza will validate if you are going there. Thankfully, the people at Plaza are NICE.

I love a dive bar. Great outside option. Bar is nice. Food is good (but I don't recommend the turkey melt). Chili & corn muffin are good as is the veggie burger. Salads are great.

Took 10 minutes to get a beer and when I said please start a tab, my card was held, not swiped with a pending charge. I wanted food, and after having been giving a menu, no one came back to get an order so the guy I was with got up in an attempt to get a waiters attention. He locked eyes with a waiter and the waiter turned around and walked away. He tapped the waiter on the shoulder and apparently that was offensive. We chose to close out, leave, and go somewhere else. That was a great decision. This is a small bar with very little seating, and apparently very limited tolerance.
