I have stayed at this property many times in the past, and while I’ve always left a little more disappointed each time, this most recent stay has pushed me past my limit. The level of negligence, filth, and overall disregard for basic hospitality is absolutely unacceptable.
Upon checking in around 7:00 pm, I left the hotel and did not even step foot in the room. When I returned later that evening, I walked into what was clearly an already-used room: dirty towels tossed about, an unmade bed, and an overall disgusting presentation (I have video). I immediately went to the front desk, where I was apologized to and assured the room would be cleaned right away.
When I returned, however, nothing had been done. The room was in the exact same filthy condition. At that point, Makaila (sp), who was kind and apologetic, upgraded us to the presidential suite. While I appreciated her professionalism, the so-called “upgrade” was no better—if anything, it added insult to injury.
The bathroom reeked of mildew, the shower had bugs crawling in it, and when I finally went to bed, I found a crumpled sheet stuffed under the blanket, as though someone had lazily thrown the bed together without a second thought. By now it was nearly 1:00 am, and I was far too exhausted to deal with the front desk again.
“Disgusted” doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel. This wasn’t just disappointing—it was revolting. The lack of cleanliness, the repeated failures to fix the situation, and the fact that this has been a steady decline over multiple stays make it clear that this property has completely abandoned any standard of hospitality.
I will never be returning, and I will be sharing this experience widely so that others are aware of the appalling conditions and utter lack of care at this hotel.

If you're looking for something different, the rooftop at The Overland offers a bit of everything—cars, planes, and a killer view. It's like a high-energy spot for those who aren’t bothered by a little noise. You get to watch **Porsches** racing around until about 6-6:30 PM, then planes flying well into the night. You’re sitting up on the 8th or 9th floor with an amazing vantage point of the runway, so if you love a good view, this place has that in spades.
Noise can be a big factor here though—if you’re sensitive to it, this spot probably isn’t for you. Between the cars and planes, it's definitely not a quiet, intimate experience. But if you're into high-speed action, the sound only adds to the thrill.
As for the drinks, they were delicious—a great selection to match the vibe. The staff was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. I wouldn’t call it an intimate spot, though—you’ll be more focused on the excitement and the view than on any deep conversation. The sunset was definitely the cherry on top, giving the whole place a magical touch as the day winds down.
All in all, a cool, vibrant spot for anyone looking for something a little more unconventional!

Watch out for double charges on your credit card. They charged me three times for something I purchased. Management did not want to see me and lied to me about what happened. I do not recommend using your credit card if you go to this place. I would never ? go back .

My bestie stayed here so I paid her a visit. She was flying out the next day, and we wanted a glass of wine. How could we pass up the rooftop bar on the 8th floor.
As soon as you step off the elevato, walk forward to a door that leads to the rooftop. It was quite pleasing to the eye. The view is spectacular. The music was jumping but not overly loud. You can see the Porsche Building and the track very clearly. You are also privy to seeing numerous jets landing as the runway is behind the hotel.
We opened a tab and ordered drinks and wine and also a lot of food. Sautéed Garlic Shrimp, Overland Sliders, Chicken Wi, gs and an Overland Burger. I had the burger. It was huge and made from what seemed like steak almost. It was dressed beautifully with lettuce, gouda cheese, and some thick bacon. Everything we had was good. The bartenders and serving staff were supreme. Very, very nice.
The rooftop is open from 5-11pm. It was a very enjoyable aspect of our experience here at Kimpton Overland. We will be back.
