I love this place! I went on Saturday for girls night out. The night started with the HOT bartenders showering us with a cascade of napkins, which I came to find that it is how ladies are welcomed and is to be taken as a compliment which I did. Plus it reminded me of confetti! We sat at the bar and right from the start the bartenders were on it getting us menus and our drink orders. I started with a glass of wine and ordered shots. . . OMG! The pictures do not lie! The bartenders are more like epic mixologists acrobats! What a show!I ordered the Salmon Chips, they are mouth watering! Yum! Highly recommended. My friend had the burger, it had a bit too much meat but delicious as well.I highly recommend this place to anyone trying to have an amazing time. I truly felt like a guest vs a customer. Will definitely go back again soon!

If I could give the this review a 0 I absolutely would! I walked into this establishment after not having anything to eat all day and wanted to experience this restaurant's dining experience. Upon walking in I was greeted by the hostess and then seated. The restaurant was not full at all and I am assuming it was due to the virus scare we are facing. Nonetheless being that I was seen and seated I went to the restroom and washed my hands the proceeds to return to my table to make my food selection. After sitting down I was approached by the very same hostess who seated Me upon arrival to tell me I had to leave the establishment because I had on a sleeveless shirt. No where upon entry of the establishment nor on the website is there a dress code requirement in place. Nor was I told this when I was seated. Please understand I will NEVER Recommend this restaurant to anyone I associate with. I may be a customer but my America dollars spend the same weather I have a shirt with sleeves or not.

Sever was terrible. She could’ve cared less about us being taken care of. It took us 30 minutes to get water. Price was OK. Restaurant is clean. But the service is terrible tonite. Food was good but definitely not worth bad service.

I want to raise awareness about this restaurant for anyone looking to dine at this establishment. I arrived during the afternoon and have previously been here when I lived in the Buckhead area. One of the main reasons for coming was always the live music, outdoor patio, and closeness to shopping district. However, this experience changed my entire perception. First, after 4 o’ clock PM (males only) are required to remove ball caps, so if arriving before 4pm and grabbing lunch if you stay longer than 4pm you’ll be asked to remove your hat on what they are calling a (gentleman rule). Let me first start with the place is called “ The Tavern” not that it should be any indicator on if a hat should be allowed or not but, it’s a very casual establishment so doubt it’s an interruption to any table. Secondly, females you are fine if you want to wear a hat it doesn’t apply to you, and if your Transgender, well that will be very interesting conversation if you’re asked to remove your hat I was told by management today they just go off the ID. Also, you will also notice only “attractive females” working again nothing wrong with that but you will notice when it comes to appearance what type of females are required to work at this establishment. Yes, in defense you will see males working but you will not see one female that breaks the mold of what they will hire. Lastly, upon doing more research you will see the owner was sued in 2011 for discrimination. We are in 2020 and it’s time to evolve as a community to all patrons regardless or race, religion, culture, appearance, age, don’t create friction with your customer where it’s not needed. Unfortunately, todays experience left me with a disappointing outlook on the way they do business and treat customers in this particular case male, but based on other reviews and articles read I think this is much deeper that needs to be brought to light.

A locals' favorite even though its' location would suggest it is a tourist trap; it's by far one of the best bars in the area.

Walked in at 3.30 on Friday afternoon for drinks and appetizers. Restaurant area half empty. No empty seat at the bar. Host said that seating was only available with a prior reservation because the restaurant was "sold out". Owner needs to consider revenue management in a more holistic manner.

The service here is great, the meat is even better. The sides need some work though. Great atmosphere, especially for a guys night.

Server said item was on the house after I said I didn’t want it. Never gave me the itemized receipt, told me he took car of it. Never did. Emailed management from website to never hear from them. Be careful, double check your bill and make sure you get that itemized receipt.

Was here last night, received the worse service, the server caused a drink to be spilled on my daughter and wasnt even apologetic about it. He blamed my 1 year old for spilling the drink and said 'he helped me clean it up' SMH. I asked for the manager and apparently he also was poorly trained and couldnt manage the situation. We decided to leave and will never be back here. Ended up heading over to American Cut and received excellent service, even left the server $100 tip.

Great location at the Phipps Plaza and conveniently accesible by car, Marta or walking. Plenty of parking spots surrounding the mall. Vibrating atmosphere with live entertainment. A place to network, socialize or just have fun with friends. Cocktails and drinks are promptly made and served. Plenty of good choices to eat or snack $$$

Annual Christmas shopping trip to Phipps Plaza from Birmingham. We used to camp at the Ritz but it's gone now. But we always hit the Tavern and it's still great after about 30 years. Our server , Cherish ,was so nice and very attentive and also really attractive . Great service with a smile and as always the food is delish. Start with Calamari.

I love the tavern but it seems like they’re cooked or their menu has changed is not the same anymore so I will not be going there as much
