I recently checked out The Upper Room ATL at Ponce City Market, and honestly, I loved the vibe. It feels like a cozy living room tucked above the buzz of Ponce. Good lighting, comfortable seating, and really great energy.

I’ve been to The Upper Room several times now, and it keeps getting better with each visit. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is elevated yet welcoming — it’s the perfect blend of creativity, class, and comfort.

The truffle popcorn alone is worth the trip — rich, savory, and absolutely addictive. And the concept of pairing classes with drinks is genius. It’s such a fun, engaging way to unwind, learn something new, and meet great people in a relaxed atmosphere.

Whether you’re coming with friends, a date, or even solo, The Upper Room delivers an experience that’s both sophisticated and effortlessly enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The Upper Room has events that shows you how to create cocktails with black owned spirits. The atmosphere and vibe is comfortable and classy. It’s a great date spot before a show or concert. If you haven’t been yet you’re missing out!

I stopped here for what I thought would be a quick drink, and stayed for over an hour. I started with a drink called Southern Elegance. Very delicious. I asked the owner what was her favorite drink to make and it’s called HYN. Definitely ask for that. It was beautiful.

I came for a cocktail class for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff is so friendly and really know what they're talking about when it comes to cocktail mixing. 10/10 recommend.

We did a team building event here. Opted for their mixology class and our team had a blast! Thank you again to the team for making sure the energy was fun and everyone was engaged. Also, the cocktails were delicious!

The upper room ATL at Ponce City market is an impeccably well-curated bar. It features an assortment of black-owned liquor and wine brands, a delicious menu and well-thought-out and well-crafted cocktail offerings. The staff is friendly helpful and very proactive.

Went yesterday! The store was kind of packed per usual but the bar wasn’t. Sat down no one acknowledged us…. My sister even asked the bartender a question and still no hi hello can I help yall I’ll back to assist nothing….Eventually after 10 more minutes I figure we need to order at the front since no one was gonna come to us. After getting the drinks, no one even asked how our drinks were, if we needed anything else. AGAIN, the bar was NOT packed out. They had plenty of time to converse with eachother but not customers I guess. But a man sitting beside us who didn’t even order anything and was eating to go food and listening to music got spoken to THREE times ( literally interrupted him and he had to take off his headphones to talk) before he even decided to order a drink. Ive served and bartended before… I suggest some customer service training because that didn’t make sense to me to not even simply speak to everyone when you see people sitting at the bar. And from the other reviews I see this is consistent problem. Maybe some less male centered bartenders? The drinks were good but not worth the service whatsoever.

This is the most expensive, basic coffee I have ever had anywhere in the world. I paid nearly $9 for a small latte with oatmilk and the barista did not seem happy to be there. She wasn’t rude, but it definitely wasn’t welcoming to the tune of $9 for a takeaway coffee. The latte was decent but it should have been no more than $6 tops, on a good day.
