Road side hype was not what is was made out to be. Nothing like what I thought this would be and the food was not even good. Service SLOW but the parking was good for the area.

If you haven't been, it's definitely worth a visit. I took my kiddo on our way to visit family so he could experience a hotdog in a cool dinner vibe setting. Food was hot and as expected. We went mid afternoon.

I have always loved the Varsity. When we were there Tuesday afternoon it was not crowded at all. We got our food within 2 minutes after ordering. We got chili dogs ,slaw dogs, chili burger and onion rings. I had to get my frosted orange ! It was sooo good! The room we choose to sit in was very clean with tv on. My son, his wife and myself sat and enjoyed a great meal before having to get into afternoon Atlanta traffic going outbound. Traffic nightmare, but, food so worth it. No problem parking. They no longer have car ordering, so you must walk inside. Pricing was good for 3 adults to eat and enjoy.

This place is all about the nostalgia factor. Food was ok (those onion rings are fire though!) and service was pretty typical of a counter service spot. But the history!? So very cool.
A must if you're in Atlanta, but probably just a one time visit.

The counter help this visit was really slacking. I've got waited on faster after a GT game with a packed house than we did this time with only maybe 5 people in the lobby and 10 others throughout the entire restaurant. The best thing to get here is the chocolate shake or frosted orange.
Went there before a football game and it was packed. Honestly just went to say I've been there. I do still wear the free hat daily since my arrival. I've gotten over 100 compliments.

Took a friend who had never been. She laughed at the size of all the food. The prices are outrageous for what they are selling. I have no idea how they stay in business. The fries were amazing as always and the Frosty Orange still tastes the same. $27 for 3 micro sized chili and slaw hotdogs, 1 hamburger, fries, Coke zero, and the F.O. Absolutely not worth the money but it is a landmark in Atlanta that everyone should try once.
