If you haven't been, it's definitely worth a visit. I took my kiddo on our way to visit family so he could experience a hotdog in a cool dinner vibe setting. Food was hot and as expected. We went mid afternoon.
I have always loved the Varsity. When we were there Tuesday afternoon it was not crowded at all. We got our food within 2 minutes after ordering. We got chili dogs ,slaw dogs, chili burger and onion rings. I had to get my frosted orange ! It was sooo good! The room we choose to sit in was very clean with tv on. My son, his wife and myself sat and enjoyed a great meal before having to get into afternoon Atlanta traffic going outbound. Traffic nightmare, but, food so worth it....
This place is all about the nostalgia factor. Food was ok (those onion rings are fire though!) and service was pretty typical of a counter service spot. But the history!? So very cool.
