Fun atmosphere (21+) with great burgers and great drinks! Our waitress was amazing, with an awesome personality. Always a go-to when I'm in town. Never disappoints.

My husband and I have been coming to the Vortex for about 18 years now and it's always fantastic. However tonight the service was extremely slow. I'm not sure if she was overwhelmed or new but after waiting for 35 minutes to be seated ( originally told 15-20) we then waited almost another hour just to eat. Food is still great, however I'm not sure when they changed to crinkle fries and different tater tots because we were just there 6 months ago but I wish they hadn't. Unseasoned on both and a smaller portion size as well. Maybe the decision was from higher up since they sold to Taco Mac a few years ago? Maybe it's more cost effective? Either way, I hope they don't make too many changes.

We came here from Columbus Georgia because my husband liked it when we came to the area year. Today wasn't pleasant. The girl brought me my drink with it spilling down the side of the cup. The bathroom was pissy and dirty. It just made me wonder how the kitchen looks.

I always enjoy going to The Vortex. I always sit at the bar. The service is great, and the food is amazing. Great prices, and great selection. A fun spot to go when in the Little 5 Points area. Seating is limited, so it's probably not a great place for large groups. Also, this is a bar so no kids are allowed (21+ yrs old).

I am highly disappointed with my order this afternoon. This was not only a large order, but also a company lunch order, which made accuracy especially important.
I placed the order at 11:00 a.m. and arrived at 11:45 a.m., yet I still had to wait nearly an additional hour. By the time the order was ready, my lunch break was almost over. During the ordering process, the representative on the phone spoke very quickly, placed me on hold multiple times, and seemed distracted.
Most concerning, my doctor’s order was completely incorrect. He was clearly stating his order in the background, yet it was still entered differently than requested. While the food quality is usually very good, accuracy matters—especially when someone else is paying. Unfortunately, my boss was dissatisfied with his meal, and he covered the cost of the order.
I understand that busy periods happen, but if multitasking cannot be handled effectively, additional support should be provided to ensure customers receive exactly what they ordered.

Both of my visits here have been wonderful! The burgers are always yummy, and the Aisha ( i hope i spelled it right) the host, was SUCH a doll. So kind and personable! As well as the bartender, very good customer service. Everything was great!

I took my wife to aquarium for her birthday and wanted to try something new a good since we are limited here in Rome and im so glad this is the place we came because it was the best place we have been in years, you gotta try the Mexican egg rolls and if you like blue cheese them they gotta burger you gotta try. The service was the best and dude was helpful in every way from food to drinks and make you feel like your right where you should be and the vibe was everyone is welcome no one to young over 21 but nobody to old from all walks of live the is a must go if your in Atlanta.

A couple of nights ago, my husband and I tried The Vortex for the first time. We had excellent service from Willow, who anticipated all of our needs and was very kind to us. Our drinks stayed refilled and we were checked on multiple times. The Elvis burger and the regular bacon cheeseburger were both flavorful and juicy. The onion rings and fries were somewhat bland, but fine. Our favorite thing was the cheese balls. SO GOOD. Just a hint of spice and excellent flavor. We will be back, and will ask to sit in Willow’s section when we return!

Wasn't much open nearby so I grabbed a bite here after attending a comedy show at Laughing Skull Lounge. I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the laid back vibes and eclectic decor. The chicken rolls were to die for and the hell's fury burger was definitely not for sissies 🥵😋 Service was good as well. If I was an Atlanta resident Vortex would for sure be one of my regular hang out spots.

I love Vortex but it seems like they always try to put the minorities at that small table by the bathrooms and I don’t like that. They tried to sit us there last time we went and we said no sit us elsewhere, then when I look up they had another brown couple there instead… I’ve never seen anyone white at that table whenever I go. Not sure if it’s a coincidence but yall need to either get rid of that table or put it elsewhere bc it’s off putting…. Love the funnel cake fries tho
