Place so nice they had to name it twice....if it wasnt for no luck i wouldnt have lick at all. But then again fried cellular devices have always paved way for you and i to make room for the heart attack burger. Happy Monster Day Yall
First time in Atlanta and checked out The Vortex. Service was excellent. Our server was super friendly and working hard to make sure his tables were taken care of. He recommended trying a burger. So my wife and I shared a burger and it was tasty. The draw to this place is their crazy sense of humor, the cool interior and the giant skull door. It's a very unusual place and we're happy we checked it out.
Amazing burgers cooked to perfection ? thank you chef for your talents! The Pickle Rick was sooo good and the side salad was seriously the best I've ever had, with the best ranch dressing EVER!! Great service, an obvious great atmosphere, all in all, if you've never been, go! *No kids allowed*
The best burger... the only burger worth getting... is The Zombie Apocalypse. Hands down, the best burger you'll order from here. Side that with some Mac n cheese or funnel cake fries and you'll have a memorable time. 10/10 a staple of Atlanta dining.
The Vortex was high on our list of places to check out while in Atlanta, and I’m so happy we were able to make it! My boyfriend took down the single coronary bypass burger and was very full after, but really enjoyed it. The tots and fries were delish! I had the mini bbq pork sliders and loved that they were topped with mac. The side of mac was also so good! My boyfriend’s mom loved the 50/50 chili too. It was such a cool vibe here and our waiter was super friendly, and he told my boyfriend he was impressed with him taking down the burger. I wish I could come here all the time!
Really cool atmosphere and awesome food. Got the Holy Guacamole burger and added bacon, it was delicious. Will definitely be back here.
This place is so cool. The atmosphere is a bit Gothic and eclectic. Just check out the pix to see. The staff are nice, professional and quick. The food is amazing with huge portions! Tons to choose from on the alcoholic drink menu. The prices are fair for the amount of food you receive. It was a fun, unique place in ATL to grab lunch. Will be coming back!
I love the Vortex, however it doesn't feel nor taste the same. The appetizers were dope. I would come back for them alone. Packed with so much favor, I was in a food coma before the burgers even arrived. The fried pickles were amazing. The breading had the perfect amount of seasonings to breading, plus they were still hot when the came to the table. The chicken rolls were awesome. The perfect amount of spice with this cool ranch based sauce. Now the party in my mouth, where I even danced a little in my seat, was the loaded potato. It had this bomb sausage gravy and that completely defined this dish. The burgers were the let down unfortunately. The concept for the burgers were excellent however the actual burger itself needed salt and pepper and more seasonings. It was bland, the toppings can only do so much without seasoning to boost them. A 3.5 star rating is actually what I would give them
I have never had a bad meal from this place! If you haven't tried it yet you really should!
Finally got into the Vortex (five points location) to check out the hype! People the hype was a let down for me. Shrug! My burger which I ordered medium rare was cooked to a crunchy crisp and well dry. The fries were nothing special to even whisper about. What I did like was the MUTHACLUCKIN CHICKEN ROLLS! That was the BOMB! The combination of shredded chicken, cheese, onions and cilantro with the jalapeño ranch sauce is a must try!
great hamburgers! the restaurant is really well decorated with a great theme. We ordered several of their signature burgers. All where really good and innovative.
Good drinks, and the burger is great but that loaded potato salad was amazing! Get that as your side instead of the fries.
Fun place to see and eat at. Lots of cool stuff on the walls. Food was great. Grilled cheese was bomb. Wings were great and flavorful. The fries pickles and spicy ranch will have me coming back for sure.
I went for lunch and I had a great experience there. I ate at the bar and the bartender there was amazing and she and I sure had a good conversation when I was there. I definitely recommend the Pickle Rick with a side of funnel cake fries.
Best burger I had for a long long time, ordered medium rare, came out medium rare, super juicy and tasty. Food came out fairly fast and server was very nice but parking might be a little tough around the area. Will be back soon!!
