Real food. Real people. Down to earth atmosphere in historic Atlanta. We loved it. Best pancakes I've ever had.

Whenever we go to Georgia, my husband is going to make SURE we stop at Thumbs Up Diner. As always, the food is amazing (they have heavy hands), so I always have enough to take home and eat on the road. The food, the service and the atmosphere is always amazing; hence our reason for ALWAYS stopping in. Make sure you experience it. You won't regret it!

Everybody said hello when I walked in and I loved the fact that I could sit anywhere. My waiter was prompt and suggestive. The food came quick and it was delicious. I was on a 10 hour drive so I loved the quick service. I went early on a Sunday. At 9am to be exact and it wasn’t busy at all but I heard some regulars say “oh it will be very busy shortly”

Our favorite breakfast spot, hands down. Personal favorites include their shrimp & grits, catfish, skillets, & pancakes, but entire menu is delicious. Daily specials are always creative and enticing. ALWAYS get on the waitlist on the website before you visit on the weekends to avoid long waits. Good to take a jacket in case you are in a drafty area or by the door/window. Cash only - atm located in back.

The food here is absolutely delicious and they are not stingy with the portions. I was quite surprised at the portions when the waitress brought the food to my table. My waitress by the name Shorty, was absolutely amazing when she pleasantly greeted all her customers, as I noticed; some of which were on first name basis 😀! It was my first visit and I definitely look forward to returning!

Decided to visit this gem on a mid Friday morning. The wait time was 15-20 minutes. The service was great and the food was bomb. The opted for Catfish and Grits. I mean it was so flavorful. The fish was seasoned to perfection. I also split French Toast with a friend. Definitely worth a try if your in the Atlanta area.

Fabulous food and spectacular service! Might be the best breakfast I have had a very long time! French toast, skillet heap, homemade biscuit with fresh peach jam and a large cup of coffee all made for a very happy me! Wish I had snapped a photo of the deliciousness but I bought a tshirt instead.
