First time was not good. I want to give it another try but I probably won’t. Went during brunch (11:45) and it was busy. The wait wasn’t bad though, about 15 mins. Took the waiter about 15 mins to acknowledge my party of 4. We were there for about an hour and only saw the waiter maybe two times. He was not attentive at all. The food was hmmm.. let’s just say I don’t recommend the breakfast. The waffles and pancakes were falling apart; literally separating. The chicken tenders were very different. They were so tiny and battered in I’m guessing corn meal? They tasted fine but looked like catfish nuggets. It’s an actual old school style diner, very nostalgic feeling.
Parking: Parking is a lot shared by another restaurant that fills up to capacity. It’s about $4 for two hours.

On behalf of the visually impaired and blind society, we would like to thank this establishment for having us there. As we came and gathered their, the staff was courteous to us. They also helped us to our tables and gathered us as we all gathered. The food was hot and there wasn't a long wait for it either. Their menu has lots to choose from and you can add and delete items from your menu. Our host was gracious and accommodating and had lots of patience with us when there were aspects to ordering that we were not familiar with. Definitely would be a place I would recommend to other people, friends and family to have a good breakfast/brunch experience. Luckily the place is tidy and no sticky floors and no funny smells. There's a small seating out outdoors which we would have loved to take advantage of but it only sat up to nine people and we ended up with almost 20 individuals joining us this day. Definitely would be a place to go back and visit, keep in mind when ordering. You do get a good quantity of food. It is made hot and fresh and they do have their own in-house jams, jellies and I believe also smoked meat. I had the heap skillets and it was delicious. Potatoes, onions, eggs, green peppers, cheese and I decided to add some sausage, ham and mushrooms of course at a modest added price which still wasn't too bad. All together. We loved the place and we had a good time.

Definitely enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was welcoming the food was fulfilling. I had the porkchop breakfast which comes with 2 of them. Now they are thin but they were flavorful as well. The grits were creamy and tasteful and the peach jelly for the raisin toast sealed the deal. Oh and they had grape soda for breakfast. Hallelujah ?

We went for Sunday Brunch. The food was hot and looked good but was bland. Place was clean, service was fast and friendly. I’d probably come back but order something basic like pancakes. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes. Where is the salt and pepper!?

I recently visited Thumbs Up Diner and was thoroughly impressed by its retro decor, which added a charming and nostalgic touch to the dining experience. The ambiance alone is worth the visit!
The highlight of my meal was definitely the Fried Fish and Grits, one of their most popular dishes. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making every bite a delight. It's no wonder this dish is a staple at Thumbs Up Diner.
Another standout was the Ultimate Seaside Breakfast. This hearty meal is packed with flavor and variety, offering a delightful combination that satisfies all your breakfast cravings.
And let's not forget about Lou's Coffee! It was rich, robust, and the perfect accompaniment to our meal. Lou's Coffee is a must-try for any coffee lover.
Overall, my experience at Thumbs Up Diner was fantastic. The food was delicious, the decor was delightful, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommended!
