My wife and I noticed that after ordering takeout from the Marietta St. Location after several orders, we both experience racing heartbeats after eating their food.
They're either recycling old, toxic cooking oil or something else is going on here.
Don't know. But Will never return here again.

I had the fried fish and an a la carte pancake. The fish was fried and seasoned perfectly! The grits were good and creamy- I love grits that are made with a little extra love and not just water ☺️ The pancake was delish! Perfect amount of sweetness, not too dense, not too fluffed. They have a homemade peach jam that they serve with the toast- oh my goodness, perfect peach flavor, not overly sweet, so good and fresh! Our server was very kind and attentive. Will def come back here!

I love Thumbs up and the bagels are my fav but why doesn’t it give the option to pay for cream cheese with a bagel on uber eats ? But If you get the bagel with the meat and eggs and cheese then you have the option? Please fix this guys I just want cream cheese with my plain bagel 😩😩😩😩
Always one of my favorite places to grab breakfast when I'm in Atlanta

Amazing local diner, a perfect spot to enjoy Southern comfort breakfast foods. Ordered the Fish with Spuds, it was beautifully fried and seasoned. Our waitress was extremely attentive and the food was very affordable. A perfect spot to have a nice breakfast if you’re in Atlanta!

One of the best breakfast spots I’ve had to date in Atlanta. Exceptional service (thank you Khia & Mercer!), flavorful & fresh food, and generous portions for reasonable prices. A must try.

Thumbs Up Diner: Consistently Good Food, but Service That Leaves You Cold
Thumbs Up Diner has become a familiar stop for me, and one thing is undeniable: the food rarely disappoints. Plates are hearty, well-prepared, and comforting in the way a neighborhood diner should be. But here’s where the experience falters, and it’s not on the plate, it’s at the counter.
Nearly every visit to pick up an order begins the same way: I step inside, I wait, and I’m met not with a greeting but with silence. Workers often glance up, make eye contact, and then walk past as though I’m invisible. Today, I wasn’t acknowledged at all until I walked over and retrieved my own order. For a diner with such a solid reputation in Atlanta, this lack of basic acknowledgment is a glaring miss.
Owners of Thumbs Up, the food already sets you apart, what’s needed now is setting the standard for hospitality. Customers don’t expect elaborate service in a diner, but they do expect to feel seen. A simple “We’ll be right with you” goes a long way in showing respect for the people who choose to spend their money in your establishment.
In a city where restaurants are closing at alarming rates, no business can afford to take loyalty for granted. Thumbs Up Diner has the menu to keep people coming back, but if the service doesn’t rise to meet the quality of the food, guests may start choosing elsewhere.

I usually have a great experience with Thumbs Up, but today was different. Came in for breakfast, and sat in the front. Sat for several minutes, but it was not busy. After 5 minutes, another gentleman walked in and before he could sit down, he was greeted, offered coffee and water. He was still waiting for someone to join him. I sat for a few more minutes and watched him being served (I was in the booth facing him). After several more minutes, someone came and asked do you need a menu? I said no thank you. I have watched someone else be served since I have been here with no acknowledgement. Just lost my appetite. As a past server, I understand the demands of the industry, but when it is not busy and you gloss over one customer for another, that's not cool. I hope this was an off day.
Love eating a great breakfast in a place where everything is like it's supposed to be. Beautiful atmosphere and customer service. Food 8s always delicious 😋
