Tropics Jerk Center II ATL

Ordered jerk chicken plate, plantains, and salt fish fritters. Everything was decent, with the exception of the chicken... it was overcooked (extra dry) and a smaller than usual portion. This is not my first time eating here... so I am a little disappointed.

I went the other day with my husband and we were very suspicious if we should try this spot or not just because of the location but like they say never judge a book by its cover. first I want to say, I notice the beautiful painting on the wall and how clean it was inside. I was pleasantly greeted and ordered Jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains with a fruit punch. The rice and peas were a little dry but good. The cabbage could use a little more seasoning but eating it with the rice made the combination perfect. Man that Jerk chicken one of the best tasting jerk chicken I had since moving to Atlanta so far. Plantains were nice and sweet. I will pass on the fruit punch next time and try lemonade or the pineapple ginger. Oh I also ordered curry chicken patty it can use more curry chicken in the middle it was very thin in the inside and not enough chicken. Overall I will definitely be coming back the food was a 7/10.

Wow! This is some excellent food. The jerk chicken and ribs were so tender and perfectly spiced. Conch fritters were the best I’ve had. Good job!

As a Jamaican, If I order jerk chicken that is exactly what I want. Authentic jerk chicken straight of di grill. Not spicy baked chicken that does not taste like jerk at all. A lot of us are using Uber eats for these orders and with the economy, people do not have money to waste. It would be helpful if we got a description of exactly what we are getting. The tropics in Lithonia always grills their pork and chicken so you know what you’re getting. I am disappointed in this second location because if I wanted baked chicken with spice, I would make that at home or literally order baked chicken from somewhere.

The rasta pasta was disgusting. It had very little meat, and the meat I did have seemed to be from old chicken drumstick, and there were bone I will never go there again.

The food was pretty good. My favorite was the Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta seasoning was on point! We also tried the fresh juices, they were very refreshing and delicious?. Fruit Punch & Pineapple Ginger both flavors were bomb?If you’re ever in the area go check them out!

Tropics Moreland is my favorite for Lunch time, it’s giving authentic box food for lunch and still saving. I love the staff at this location they are so sweet and nice. The surroundings is very clean and very nice for doing work if you’re working from home ! I just think this location is a nice self date spot to indulge in! I wish the owner nothing but love for this location ?

We went last night right before closing. They accommodated us and still wanted to take our order. When I tell you, my man is usually skeptical about getting food right before a place closes but last night changed his mind. This place was amazing the two oxtails plates were so good and the rice was seasoned to perfection. We have no complaints at all. The staff was great. The cashier was very nice and sweet, kindhearted person who made our night. We will definitely be back thank you again we really appreciate the service and the great tasting food.❤️
