Truth Midtown Restaurant & Lounge

Not what I experienced before, staff was very rude, food came pretty fast not good for some guest. Value of the restaurant definitely have changed not for good reason but it could be better. Host amazing when you first came in. DJ was late like 3 hours.

Food was great! I had Fish and Grits it took a long time to get the food be it hot and very tasty. Service was slow and the ran out of Tito's and Crab Cakes and the place wasn't crowded that just shows they didn't plan fot Black Pride Labor Day Weekend. Oh, and one of the bathrooms was out of order.

This place is amazing from the owner to the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. The food is top tier. My favorite is the fried catfish and grits. Amazing. Will be back.

I went On a Monday July 7th. Parking was $5.18. The service of the host was terrible when I say terrible I mean it. We just Google the place while near midtown. Wasn’t aware of the type of night it was supposed to had been. Was informed about it when we got there. The host didn’t greet us at all she just said sit at the bar. While going to the bar the bartender told us to sit at table because it was four of us, so we did. Then the same girl that was hosting act as if she had an attitude because we were sitting at the table like the bartender Al told us. She said with an attitude that the table that we were sitting at was reserved and we could sit there for two hours only. So after placing order two of the orders came out at a decent time the other two orders never came out so by this time the two hours were over still keep in mind we were waiting. However because of the wait time the bartender told us that the whole bill was going to be on them but Miss attitude came back and said the two meals that was received were only going to get 20% off. Overall I still stayed because the fact of knowing that it was blacked owned and all staff was black I wanted to see how good the food was. Al ended up going in the back in making them make my order which was one fried pork chop, collards, and Mac and cheese. When I got home and ate the food it was delicious. Al didn’t lie about there food being good. I just wished the chick wasn’t rude. Big ups to Al he did a great job with trying.

Truth Midtown was great. The Sunday Brunch & Afternoon Show was a hit. The food was delicious, the drinks was on point, and the atmosphere was very chill.

Great music, and they now have shows on Sunday evening, which is said to be a great drag show with free admission. I didn't order food so I can't rate the food but from what I have been told that the food is really good as well. If you are looking for a place to eat, hear good music and entertainment this is the place

Save your money this place is garbage!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. For one , the food portions are small. For 2, bland food , for 3 paid 90$ just for pasta and 2 drinks ???? A scam and was robbed.

I will never visit again.... Waited hour and half for some over cooked lamb chops... The server was NOT serving!!!! There's so many other things but if you're looking for a nice sit down restaurant save your time and your outfit!!!!!

Let's start with we sat down for an hour an a half with only 40 people in a lounge staff included never to be acknowledged until we contacted the manager 2 hours later buffalo dip came out 2 and a half hours later cold and the food which was a pre selected menu of only 3 things that you could order which they had 2 items on the menu left that they were serving I ordered the chicken breast which was sliced I thought it was thin turkey meat anyway It wasn't seasoned and it was cold my yams were hot and good my greens were decent as well my overall experience is the waitress don't care at all just pay the check so they can get the gratuity and go Lol so I will not be returning to this establishment ever again

We went for valentines day. Service was slow considering they were operating from a very limited menu. My sauted spinach and salmon were too salty. The chef got carried away with the salt. The Salmon was also over cooked. I would not recommend those choices if you are foodie. Unfortunately I can not speak about the other food. The people were friendly in general. It does not seem like a place for food. Hang out and smoke hookah would be the move.

Horrible Valentine's Day experience. Overpriced, took the food over an hour to come. Hate that I went here on Valentine's Day. 

This had to be one of the worst experiences i ever had at a place the food was terrible, the price for the low quality food is ridiculous, if I had it my way i would have this place shut down, they absolutely ruined my valentine day experience 0/10

Disappointed. They smoke WEED in here!! The manager or the guy who was on the mic was even smoking weed. The place is too small for the big speakers in there. You have to scream to talk to someone next to you. The food was excellent and on point. Great prices!!
