It’s very cute for a date night or girls night! Super loud (suggest sitting outside) There was a lot of entertainment (can be overstimulating!) Like a restaurant shot, with sparklers! There was a belly dancer with flames also!

Valentine's Day...I couldn't have picked the worst place to go. Only reason for 2 stars, service was great. Menus were not fully explained on phone or in person. Food was subpar at best...with limited menu they were doing an assembly line and food was cold. Snapper came with so much rice I could have fed the neighborhood. Frozen empanadas I wasnt expecting. Handmade empanadas is what I was expecting. Same crust as those .99 PotPies from Food Lion. We warned as many people as we could to save their time and trouble. We should have just eaten at the taco truck outside. We drove 2.5 hours one way for this...disappointed.

Walking into Tulum, you first pass beneath an arch of green shrubs, a quiet threshold separating Buckhead from somewhere more transportive. Beyond it, the lighting softens into a dim, intimate glow. Each table feels like its own small celebration—birthdays, reunions, first dates, or perhaps nothing more than the quiet joy of being out together. Though the crowd dresses with intention, there is no stiffness here. Instead, there is warmth. Happiness circulates easily. Strangers smile. Laughter carries.

Without hesitation, order the empanada.

It is expensive, yes—but it is also the best empanada I have ever tasted. Better, even, than the empanadas I grew up with from Mexico and Puerto Rico. Served fresh from the kitchen and finished by the chef, it arrives as a complete experience: crisp, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Do not make the mistake of ordering it to go. In transit, the components are separated to preserve texture, but something essential is lost—the immediacy, the cohesion, the moment itself.

The oxtail pasta is another story. It is unapologetically rich—greasy, even—but undeniably delicious. Large ribbons of pasta carry the deep, slow-cooked flavor of Caribbean-style oxtail, infused with warmth and subtle spice. It is indulgent in the truest sense: a heavy marriage of protein and carbohydrate that comforts more than it restrains. Those mindful of cholesterol or prone to reflux may hesitate, but flavor rarely concerns itself with restraint.

Still, the true star of the evening is the guava colada.

It arrives cool and unassuming, but one sip reveals its complexity. It is refreshing without being overly sweet, layered with bright guava and softened by a milky texture that soothes as much as it excites. It does not overwhelm; it restores. It is the kind of drink that makes conversation pause, if only briefly.

Even during busy hours, the staff remain cheerful and attentive, their warmth reinforcing the atmosphere rather than merely servicing it. Gratuity is included, a detail worth noting but one that feels almost incidental given the consistency of their hospitality.

Yes, Tulum is expensive—but this is Buckhead, where price often serves as admission to atmosphere. And atmosphere, here, is part of the offering.

I have visited twice, and both times I returned for the same reasons: the empanada and the guava colada. Some places impress once. Others invite you back. Tulum belongs firmly to the latter.

Disappointed. The menu was limited because of Valentine’s Day. The price of valet isn’t listed anywhere but if you pass him a $20 that’s automatically how much it cost

The atmosphere was good! They played good R&B music and they even had a little live entertainment! The waitress was really nice and knowledgeable about the limited menu. The Valentine's Day menu I was not impressed at all and it was very overpriced! $65 for mediocre salmon pasta. It came with one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert. No drink included and no deals cut for alcoholic beverages. No menu was provided before hand for us to decide if we would be satisfied with the food offered. My girlfriend's lamb chops had a burnt taste to them. On top of that we were charged an additional $40 for gratuity or something. I'm not sure how the menu is normally but the Valentine's menu was a huge scam! We ended up paying almost $300 for the meal just to not be satisfied! I would say try at your own risk, my experience may not be yours! Good Luck Charlie!!

Waitress, Vee, was absolutely amazing!!!!! She made our experience enjoyable. The food was less than satisfactory, especially the red snapper! The music and atmosphere was fun. Lots of great music that had us dancing in our seats.

Thanks Vee!!!!!

Food was very tasty and decor nice. Our server seemed more interested in hanging out with his coworkers than attending to our table needs, but the food runner and busers were helpful and made up for his slacking.

who really wants to know what’s going on the food is amazing I didn’t like the fact that I tried the salmon chips and the salmon was cold on the chips. We are in the cold months so they sat us by the door so I had to leave my jacket on because every time someone came in the door. The breeze came with them too as well. Had a little problem with my food too much salt in it took a long time to find the waitress to resolve the issue And then they put us at a small table and the table was shaky as hell besides that everything else was great. The scenery is beautiful. I advise you to go at night time because it is very nice scenery
