After visiting the museum for inspiration, I stopped for an afternoon martini and met the rudest bar tender ever. Sorry you had to close at 2:30, but I gave you a great tip, and you didn't have to basically kick me out of the place… you just took my drink at 2:30 and didn't even ask me if I was done nor did you say have a good day like you did to the folks with the baby. Sorry, you have a job and are in a bad mood.

Fair sandwich kiosk convenient to Atlanta Symphony Hall. Food was pre-made and not that great. Only one person working and she had to walk to the back to get whatever pre-made item you wanted, if they weren't out of it. They had beer, wine and liquor of acceptable variety. If you're looking for a quick bite and a drink before the show, it'll do. If you want an upscale bar/restaurant that fits the venue, you're out of luck.

Unfortunately 1280 is now only the bar area serving fast food type food. The poor woman who worked there was the only one on Saturday evening before the symphony. She had to go back several times to get pre-made stuff from the back. I did see some Bag chips and Candy you could buy. There was no selection of salads or other fresh food. You might be better served stopping at McDonald's or Wendy's if you're in a rush or be prepared to walk over to Colony Square where there is an excellent assortment of dining options in their food court as well as restaurants around. I learned that the old 1280 restaurant lease ended and it hasn't been picked up yet so the main restaurant area sits empty. I'm going to upload a photo of my pulled chicken sandwich and collard greens that I was told came from Williamson Brothers . $9 sandwich only.

Maybe I'll update this if I ever dine in. I stopped in to grab something to eat before my acting class at Alliance Theater. I got A grilled veggie mushroom ciabatta, only to find out that it has egg plants. So, I opted for a turkey sub. It was dry and not very flavorful. The lady behind the bar though, she was really nice.Prices for be and other alcoholic drinks are reasonable, will stop by to try again.

Hours not correct on listing.
Went there to get a quick bite before museum . The bartender was just not interested in serving me or even talk to me properly . There were handful of people at the restaurant . None of them eating . She could not be inconvenienced to bring a menu to me or even greet or acknowledge me properly ! This is an older woman working the bar. 1 pm on friday sept 1st. Do better , its not 2016-17 when you were the only place to eat or get a drink near museum.

Be aware this restaurant listed on this website services and food are very different than what is listed. This place only provides a couple of selected prepacked cold salads, sandwiches, and pot pies. You have to go to the register to place your order, get your food and pay. There are no waiters. If you are only buying a drink you might be okay. The lady at the register was very unfriendly, and not accomodating whatsoever. There are gnats flying around and the floors are dirty. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I came here a number of times about 8-10 years ago. It was fabulous in every way. Elegant, delicious, beautiful… all worthy of the amazing High Museum with which 1280 has always coexisted. Fast forward to 2022. I came in today for the first time since then. Food is insipid, the restaurant is dirty and in disrepair. There’s even stale food on the floor that hasn’t been cleaned up since who knows when (maybe since my last visit 8-10 years ago). Pretty bad. Definitely not worthy of its High Museum / Woodruff Art Center companions. Not coming back.
If you are going to be that snooty you should at least have the food to back it up.My family an I stopped in for lunch because this place was next to the museum. The hostess looked at us like we just put s**t in her hand and told her to clap. The waiter seemed like he was bothered to take our order. The food was not good. Two of our party had the mushroom flatbread. The mushrooms tasted bitter and dirty. The four-cheese flatbread tasted like a bargain pizza from a gas station. The only one of our party who liked their meal had the club sandwich and rated it as "okay." That was the best of the lot.Our bill was over a hundred dollars. We will not be going back. Google will not let me rate this establishment under one star. It does not deserve the one star I gave it.
Delicious. Service was impeccable. Just a few short steps from Symphony Hall. Very calm atmosphere and the food was delicious.
