Best sushi in Atlanta by far! The food is spectacular and the service is on point. Never had a bad experience at Umi. If you love sushi, there is no competition in this city. Highly recommend without question!

My favorite sushi restaurant period. We have been going here almost weekly for the last 7-8 years. We prefer to sit at the sushi bar when it’s just the two of us and order as much as we can eat. Our usuals include yellowtail jalapeño, miso soup, spicy tuna crispy rice & edamame. This is all then followed with sashimi, nigiri, signature nigiri and sometimes a lobster tobanyaki. Everything… and I mean EVERYTHING is AMAZING. I can honestly say I’ve never had a single thing I didn’t like or a day when anything wasn’t beyond perfect.
The only downside is that I love every single dessert and have room for only 1 or 2 each time. The chocolate kyu, angel food cake, green tea ice cream + chocolate soufflé, donut… ALL THE BEST DESSERTS. Out of all the restaurants in Atlanta- Umi’s the best.

I’ve also been to M upstairs (10000000/10) and love Himitsu as well but I wanted this review to only be for Umi.

Absolutely amazing! Kept hearing great things about this place and now I know why. Incredible service, impeccable flavors- BEST MISO SOUP IVE EVER HAD! Life-changing nigiri as well. Can't wait to be back :)

Umi was fantastic. Liz took care of our group and was incredible. We essentially said, please pick all the food and she didn’t disappoint. Our group was a bunch of jokesters and Liz matched our energy. When I’m back in Atlanta, I’m coming back to Umi asap.

Leaving a review because some of the recent reviews on here almost kept us from coming here for dinner…but we decided to give it a shot and we are so grateful for that! We had an INCREDIBLE meal!! We asked Liz our waitress to pick us her favorites and she did not disappoint. Every dish was mouth watering good and the signature cocktails were amazing. Thank you for such a great night!

Never disappoints! We were almost 30 Mins past our reservation time but we were complimented with a couple appetizers. Service was excellent as well as the food!

UMI was an amazing dining experience. Service was a 10 out of 10 and the food was easily an 11 out of 10.

It was our first time dining at Umi, and it was absolutely unbelievable! Some of the best sushi we've ever had, and my husband and I are huge sushi people!!!!! Eat at Umi!!!
