I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately my takeout order had a black hair in it - truly disgusting. I tried calling the restaurant to get a replacement but there wasn’t any answer.

Urban Wu, which is trapped in a large outdoor shopping center currently being completely remodeled with a demolished Kroger nearby, is a Szechuan restaurant in Buckhead meant to appeal to folks not familiar with peppercorns. I believe the Dry Pot Cauliflower was cooked with peppercorns, but they weren't hanging out perilously in the dish, perhaps for the sake of someone who might swallow one by mistake. This special has a sauce that is delectable and not all that spicy. My favorite dish at Urban Wu and one I have only encountered once before is Sichuan Jelly Noodle, thick slices of jelly made from mung beans and shredded cucumbers in chili sauce. I know it doesn't sound terribly appealing, but I was fantasizing about it the other day and whenever I am in this neighborhood, it's on my mind.

The food tastes good and the dine-in experience is good, but the amount of food you get when ordering delivery is pitiful. We got a dish with chicken as the protein, and it was like 3oz of chick for close to $20. Dine in, don't order delivery or carryout.

I honestly just have to say that when picking up food here to go.The chicken is absolute rough. Like the hardest chicken imagineable.I picked up food to go once and it was awful and thought I’ll give it another shot.Disgusting. Won’t be picking up food here again.So sad when my first visit was so good.

Absolutely greasy rest. Take out tonight the twice cooked pork was all FAT BACK GREASY AND MADE US SICK.We will never eat here and demand a full refund. Just awful.

Food was good, but don’t think I would come back. I feel disgusted. Ordered a lemon drop martini, and sent it back because it was disgusting. Then my party ordered a Hennessy margarita and a margarita martini, both of those drinks had fruit flies in them, like they do not properly clean their bar tools. If this is what you get in the bar, who knows what the kitchen looks like. Also, while sitting waiting for check we noticed there were flies walking around on the floor..

Came with a large party for lunch. We were promptly seated and our orders were taken very quickly. While the food was ok, there seemed to be a big delay with the kitchen. Some orders took a really long time to come out, and my friends meal never arrived at all. Oddly, the last person to arrive and order was the first to receive their meal. We had to flag our waiter down to ask where my friends meal was…clearly never rung up. Everyone had finished eating (despite waiting) and her food still didn’t show…she wound up having to get it to go.
