They set up at an event, charging $35 a plate of 12 shrimp and rice. It was going to be less shrimp than that, but after I stated that my plate looks nothing like the sample on display, another scoop of shrimp and sauce was added. Sensed a bit of an attitude, looked like teenagers serving.
Definitely would not seek them out after this experience as I feel the plates were extremely overpriced compared to their in store menu!

Catering Review:
We used Vieux Carre Bistro to cater a large family event. We had several catered meals throughout the long weekend, but my family continually raved about the food from this restaurant. I appreciate that the restaurant recommended a menu based on the dietary considerations I needed to navigate. The chicken pasta was the clear favorite and a must have recommendation. Other favorites were the blackened salmon and fried chicken wings. When it came to service, the owner was very flexible when it came to pick up, patiently waiting to provide curbside loading for our courier. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food, service, and value for this catering order and will definitely use them again.

Got the red beans and rice but came for the gumbo. Beans aren't seasoned well. Definitely not authentic cajun. Said maybe next week on the gumbo.🙄

This place seems to be a scam. I ordered a uber eats order, they told me they were processing and preparing my order. I called and the owner told me he wasn’t accepting orders from Uber eats and it might be fraud?

The pork chops meal is out of this world good.

The food offered was indeed hearty and delicious. Every staff member we interacted with was exceptionally friendly and cheerful, providing excellent Southern hospitality and customer service. The entrees are served buffet-style. The standout dishes included the turkey wing and fried chicken wings, both wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The turkey gravy was the best I've ever had. The portions are generous, making it a worthwhile dining experience.
