Whew, where do I start? The W Atlanta Downtown was my choice for the weekend because I had an event for my organization at the Spa. The hotel was beautiful and busy. One of the valet attendants was very rude, or maybe that's just his demeanor. I'm not sure what the issue was, but being customer friendly is essential! Michael was phenomenal!!! I'm not sure of his role/title, but he was the most patient, humbled, and professional individual I had the pleasure of meeting. He helped me unload my car, which was filled to capacity for my event. I had to obtain physical keys when I arrived, so I needed to stop by the front desk. Front desk associates were pleasant and friendly. Andy was very helpful in helping me store my food for my event. Check-in was very busy, but I waited patiently until someone could assist me with obtaining keys. My patience resulted in a free drink as a welcome gift! In addition, I received bonus reward points, which is always a plus. Michael stayed with me the entire time. He helped me unload all my items in my room and never complained. I am so grateful for that. My event in the Spa area on Saturday was amazing! From the manager to the massage therapists, everything was perfect!!! The manager was such a gem. She made things so seamless for me. She accommodated my needs and wants beyond what I asked. She took care of other things I didn't expect her to. She went above and beyond for me!! THANK YOU!!! Ericka & Ellen (massage therapists) were AWWmazing! We enjoyed their energy, chair, and hand massages. I'm a Marriott Woman, but the W was never a property I stayed before. With such amazing service, I may consider another stay in the future. The $55 valet parking fee per night is my only hesitation returning any time soon. I can not forget how great Kia was from the Living Room Restaurant! Not to mention how helpful Todd was upon check out! Thank you all for a wonderful experience!!!

My stay at the W hotel was an overall great experience, and it solidified my love for the W hotels brand. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance and the attentive service set a high standard. The rooms are stylishly designed with a modern flair, providing a comfortable and luxurious environment to relax in. The amenities are top-notch, ensuring that every need is catered to.The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel's operation is evident, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the efficiency of the check-in process. However, I did find that the valet parking service was a bit on the expensive side. While the convenience of having my car taken care of was appreciated, the cost was higher than I expected. This is something to consider for those who are planning to drive to the hotel.Despite this minor drawback, I would highly recommend the W hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and enjoyable stay. The combination of excellent facilities, great service, and the distinctive style of the W brand makes it a top choice for travelers.Rooms: GreatWalkability: Nice locationFood & drinks: great breakfast

Needed a quieter room because I haven’t been sleeping well and unfortunately got put into one of the rooms facing the freeway…on the 5th floor. Got downstairs and Walter helped me - great guy, really spent some time weighing options with me and wasn’t annoyed at my request at all. Really wonderful starting my work trip with that kind of hospitality. Thanks Walter!

Sadly a very rundown hotel with poor customer service. Stayed at many Ws and this is definitely not the norm. Took hours to have are room ready after pre check-in via the Bonvoy app. Room furniture, dressers, drawers and paint all damaged. Not to mention the lack of hot water at certain times of the day in the shower. The restaurant charges five dollars for coffee and six dollars for apple juice. With a minimum 15% gratuity already on the bill. Whether the service is decent or not. The restaurant was always empty at peak times for obvious reasons I suppose. It was raining in Atlanta and asked if there was an umbrella available in the room which I have never not seen one in the room. They then requested a fifty dollar deposit for the umbrella. Even though I have titanium elite status. I felt very devalued as a customer and client at this hotel. I was offered five thousand points for bringing issues to their attention, even this felt like an insult. The manager Alexy reached out to me on the last day of our stay which was very nice.

This is a motel dressed up in “fancy” purple walls and valet service that costs $55 / night plus tip. Be prepared to wait up to 20 min for valet to bring out your car. The rooms are dim and honestly look filthy. The mattresses, I’m sure, are donations of goodwill. Looks like someone soiled this one in the photo. The fridge is stocked with products they want to sell but leave no space for you to put your food in. This is what you’ll be getting if you want to pay $300 for a room per night. The only redeeming quality is that the staff is friendly.

I expected a 4-5 star hotel for being a “W” in the Marriott Collection. The restaurant was pathetic. Bar not open. Called room service at 1:30 pm to get a couple drinks and a kids meal and they couldn’t handle an order. No heated pool. No spa, no jacuzzi, no sauna, honestly very disappointed in this Marriott. I brought my family down to Atlanta to have an amazing experience and the only thing the hotel brought was location but plenty of places here have that. The restaurant, bar, spa, and overall the idea of what makes a 4-5 star hotel needs an overhaul. Super sad to be here! Had two rooms reserved!Walkability: Walkable to Coca Cola museum and aquarium.

Rooms: The rooms are filthy. Mold in the shower, the carpet is wrinkled from wear and dirty, they have never cleaned the base board. Counter tops not wiped down.Better to stay somewhere else. Not safe here at the W.Safety: HORRIBLE property! Don’t stay. A group of 8 of us came for market and my room was broken into by the housekeeping staff. They conveniently left my hotel room door ajar and when I returned from being gone all day. There is was open. My watch was stolen from the room.

I had a great stay at the W. The reception when I arrived was very nice, accommodating and efficient. The room was spacious, clean and well lit. The bath products are top quality. I ordered room service the first night. It was timely and delicious. The butternut squash bisque was excellent. Coffee service was provided in the lobby in the morning and there is also a coffee shop for lattes and espresso's. Location is good for Americas mart. Management was accessible and very friendly. I would stay here again. It's a good find and very well managed.

The fall of a Mecca in my opinion. This location has been open for years. I remember 15 years ago coming here with my mother to go to the spa. It was so beautiful. Now, when I stayed here, the refrigerator was absolutely filthy. I wouldn’t touch anything in it, especially for a overpriced soda. The coffee pods are probably from 2007, don’t get me wrong, all hotels have to get old at some point. All hotels have to fall off at some point but to be 100% honest, The has had better days. The bar downstairs is nice and the lobby and common areas are cool, but the rooms are “meh” for 2024 standards, which in Atlanta are sky high. The design of the rooms are nice, but walking to a room at “THE W” as hyped up as it is, I at least expect my room to be cleanSafety: The W Plaza is safe, but once you leave, you are still downtown. Be aware.

I stayed at this hotel for an event going on in the area and would like to shoutout Yudi at the front desk for customer service along with the rest of the staff. However, the reason i am giving three stars is because of our room type being changed to a king instead of a double queen (due to overbooking) without being informed before or upon arrival which was frustrating considering we had a 4 people in our party and had been on the road for 6+ hours and was exhausted. We had to get a blow up mattress to accommodate. The shower is the King room was awkward to say the least and the coffee machine was broken and spewed water everywhere.
