Sure, run down location, door may not shut and you may be in the hood but who cares. This was the best soul food I have ever had, especially in a restaurant setting. The baked/fried chicken was amazing. The banana cornbread, never heard of it, and greens/cabbage were out of this world good. Will be traveling back through later in the week and will stop by to experience all over again!!

The food was decent for the price. I paid $12 for the baked chicken mac & cheese, and cabbage with a banana cornbread. I initially wanted the brown stew chicken. Somehow it looked dry surrounded by a bunch of liquid. The decor however is what left an unsavory impression on me. The door would not close and it’s in the hood surrounded by people that smell like wounds in wheelchairs and run down stores. I can definitely find better Soulfood in better locations. Aesthetics are everything. ???

Friendly service by the young fella and very tasty food. Glee got the chicken drums with Mac and cheese and yellow rise and My L got the Salmon with potatoes and veggies medley. All was sensational. We found this place looking for a bathroom and finished very satisfied.
My first impression as I entered the restaurant, oh wow the door doesn't close properly. As I entered inside the music was too loud. I walked to the counter and the two guys were very welcoming. I had the salmon (portion was small), brown rice, mac n cheese, collard greens and corn bread. The food was just ok. Maybe I should have stuck with fried chicken or the bbq ribs that they had. I cannot say I will go back for a second taste, but if I do, the door needs to be fixed and cut that music down.
