Food is mid as hell. Pork and brisket are just fine.

Cornbread is fire. Korean short rip was overcooked.

Excellent pulled pork, and pork bean w/ burnt ends. Got the chopped brisket as well, was expecting large chopped cubes, but it came out with a fine chop. Potato salad was ok. Nice selection of sauces. Not pictured is their banana pudding. Solid 4/5

Cream corn was delicious! However the meat left more to be desired..Brisket was dry and chewy, ribs were smokey but under seasoned.. The drinks were 3/10.. Spending 85.00, the expectations were higher than the taste of food we received.

came across Woodchapel Barbecue while in the area looking for a pastry shop, and figured I’d give it a try since I had a craving for brisket. The place looked solid, had great reviews, and I had never seen it before—so I thought, “Hey, maybe it’s new and worth putting people on.” I even had intentions of filming a quick vlog to highlight the spot.

But from the moment I got my plate, those plans shifted.

I ordered the “Pick Two” with brisket and Oaxaca jalapeño sausage. The brisket was sliced so thin it actually caught me off guard—as someone from the South, I’ve never seen brisket cut that way. I asked the server if I could get a thicker piece, and she quickly shut that down, saying that since it was a two-meat combo, what I got was it. No offer to help or even a sense of wanting to accommodate.

Still, I figured the food would speak for itself. But when I sat down, I realized the brisket was cold—room temperature at best. I tried to flag someone down, but kept getting ignored until what looked like a manager noticed and kindly offered to bring me a fresh piece. I actually really appreciated that and went to sit down again, expecting it wouldn’t take long.

15 minutes passed. The restaurant wasn’t busy, so I didn’t understand the delay. Meanwhile, my other food was going cold. I asked another busser if he could check on it, and cool but seemed confused. Finally, the original server made eye contact for the first time and when I explained I still hadn’t received the replacement, he said, “We got a little backed up, I’m sure it’s coming.”

Eventually, a small slice of brisket showed up. But by then, everything else was cold and my mood was off. I packed my food up and left.

I genuinely wanted to help spread the word about this place. It seemed like a hidden gem at first glance. But after the cold food, the dismissive service, and the lack of follow-through, it felt like maybe I should just keep it to myself.

Food was awesome. The only downside is finding parking. Service was fast and friendly too.

This is my favorite BBQ place in Atlanta. I’ve never had a bad meal, and I love the smoked turkey.

Don't order via Door Dash. The food was cold, the chicken, the pork the corn and mac and cheese. The potato salad was luke warm. The driver arrived 20 mins after pickup, so this was on the restaurant.

The literally sent BBQ chicken and pork WITHOUT BBQ sauce! And the collard greens were missing.

My second and last time ordering...still waiting for the manager to call back. He was a bit argumentative about the bag not being stapled, they always staple...his kitchen staff should have made sure it was stapled. I don't think the driver took it. His kitchen was just sloppy packing the bag and forgetting key ingredients.

Also, waiting for a call back from the manager about a refund...I'm not holding my breathe.

They changed the recipes for the mac and cheese and the potato salad. It’s basically Publix. The old potato salad was so good, made with fresh dill and so refreshing. It’s a shame that they have changed, especially with the steep prices.

Chill spot. Very lively on weekends & Holidays. They have a revolving menu that has staple stars like smoked brisket & honey baked cornbread, while continuing to upgrade their tastes by being inventive in the kitchen with new items.

The food was great. I loved the brisket and collard greens especially. The mac and cheese was good too. Reasonably priced compared to other BBQ spots. Would definitely recommend. Also, the young woman that took my group's order this afternoon was super friendly and very hospitable.

Great food, strong drinks, just amazing. Price is high. Can’t lie. It was so good i had to go back. $2 a wing is a bit crazy. But if i could i would. Nachos are amazing, corn bread is not to sweet, its like perfect. Nice outside area, pet friendly.

Overall: Stick with the Brisket Grilled Cheese or Skip It

I've been here a few times and the place is almost always empty, which surprises me given the location and setup. I usually stick with the brisket grilled cheese—which is incredible—but this time I decided to try some new items.

Unfortunately, most of them missed the mark. The tater tots were soggy, the mac and cheese was bland and dense (just like other reviews said), and the pimento balls and cornbread were both burned. I also wasn’t a fan of the ranch, which I paid extra for.

That said, the brisket sandwich is still a winner—tender, flavorful, and worth coming back for. I’d also recommend the sticky ribs if you want to try something else that delivers on flavor. My family liked the patty melt as well.

The outdoor seating is a plus, and I like that you can order from the window without going inside. I really want to see this area do well, but the inconsistency in the food makes it tough. Stick with the brisket or skip it.

My family goes here every time we are around the area because of the outdoor space for our little one to run around in. The food is phenomenal, the workers are very helpful and understanding of the chaos that is being the parents of a toddler. I did hate that now we have to pay for parking in that lot next to the area, but highly recommend this place for anyone going through the area.
