A lively place. I arrived for my 6:45pm, 12April2025, bar seat reservation on time. Upon arrival I was informed that there were no seats available at the bar. I advised the host that I had a reservation, to which he responded, “I don't know why they allow bar seat reservations because the bar is always full.” I was asked to wait for an available seat. About 15 minutes later I advised the host that there was a space but no bar seat and asked for a chair. He obtained a chair and I was seated at the bar for dinner. I would have appreciated if he had been a bit more proactive as he left it up to me to find a seat, without regard for my confirmed reservation. Justin, the bar tender made up for the SNAFU with the reservation/host/seating. He immediately greeted me, offered a hand-mixed margarita and a dinner menu. Thank you Justin. I had the chicken with mole sauce and plantains. It was delicious. The atmosphere was very active and loud. However, everyone seemed to be having a great time and there was a line to get in. I would recommend having a reservation. That said, the experience was good (except the seating issue) and I would recommend Zocalo and will return.

My daughter and I had SO much fun at Zocalo! The food was really great and flavorful and the presentation of the drinks (even the mocktails) was so pretty. Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed the music and happiness of all there!

The revamp is nice. We went on a Friday, with a reservation. Very busy. Very loud. Nice vibes. We were a two top, however, when we requested to be moved to a bigger table we were told that bigger tables are reserved for bigger parties. With that being said, the table was cramped seeing as we ordered a margarita pitcher plus a an appetizer each. So once the food arrived, we were still eating our appetizers and had to get those boxed (with nowhere to put them) to make room for the food. I pulled a chair up make room for the to-go boxes. After some time the manager pulled over another two top table to make space for the food. Our queso which was boxed up by the waiter, was never brought back out and we realized it was missing the next day. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I would go on a less busy night.

We went Saturday evening around 7 pm. The place was hopping! Now I know why. Good food, good service, and an energetic vibe. Plus, who doesn't love a $5 taco?

Amazing house margarita's and food. Everyone ordered something different and it was all delicious. I came for the chicken enchiladas. My friends had fajitas and steak nachos. To die for! This is truly my favorite Mexican restaurant in mid-town!

Visiting from Boston, we were a little lost in the Atlanta food scene. But as soon as we stepped into Zocalo’s, we felt right at home. The warm, inviting atmosphere immediately drew us in.
The friendly face of JC greeted us at the door, his smile as warm as the southern hospitality. He was incredibly accommodating, offering us a table that perfectly suited our needs. While we waited for our server, JC brought us a refreshing round of drinks, his attentiveness making us feel like valued guests.
The drinks were a delightful surprise, a perfect blend of flavors that tantalized our taste buds. JC's genuine warmth and hospitality made our dining experience truly memorable. We can't wait to return and explore more of [zocalo’s delicious offerings.
