Came here for lunch while in Augusta for work.

I had the fried steak with broccoli and fried corn. I also had some baked chicken.

The food was okay for me.

The fried steak didn't really impress. It didn't really have much of a taste to be honest, but I did enjoy the chicken.

The fried corn was ok, but the broccoli was soaking in water.

No issues with service. The staff was very friendly and didn't seem to mind answering all my colleague's questions.

The chicken fried steak was so good, with white rice and mashed potatoes both with oxtail gravy. Fine home cooking at it best. Excellent service, place will get crowded for lunch but the food is worth the wait. Waiter recommendations are highly recommended since they tried everything already if you are undecided. Little home cook gem in downtown Augusta.

Trying a new soul food spot. Oxtails rice and cabbage. The orange vegetable is rutabaga. Similar to yam texture but taste like cabbage. First try but very good. You know it's the real thing when they have pepper sauce on the table. The owner Cassandra Brinson is awesome and my new cousin!

Vegetables were very good, meat loaf was also very good, however the liver was a bit overcooked and tough. The service was excellent.
